A beat I made a while ago mostly from a synth sound recorded with my iPhone.

Oh Ah

I have a hard time classifying what 'Tattoo' is. The term "Remix" is commonly used these days, and yet I feel like it's not quite right for this track.

The vocals in 'Tattoo' are taken from Miguel's 'Girl With The Tattoo'; and once they were added, the track truly came alive. That being said, they were not the starting point, and were actually added quite late in the piece. The starting point was in fact a synth line which ended up being a reasonably minor component by the time the track was finished.

So what is it? A Mash-Up? A Re-Work?
Whatever it is, it marks a new chapter for me as a producer and as a person. A recent shift in musical direction has given me a renewed enthusiasm for music and a hunger to create.

I look forward to releasing many more new tunes in the future and hope to inspire people the way others have inspired me.

Addicted

'How Deep' is a song influenced by many genres. I listened to a lot of Drum n Bass, Breakbeat, trip Hop etc when I was a teen. This track came together like a nostalgic collage of sonic influences from my past. Funnily enough, the older I get, the more i tend to revisit music from my youth. I hope that doesn't mean I'm getting old. 

How Deep

With the vocal track from Ashanti's song "Hey Baby" being the focus,
this track was predominantly made using my OP-1 and MPC1000.
I hope you like it.
