About the mix: House music to me is like witchcraft—an alchemy that transforms strangers into community. The DJ as ritual keeper, spinning incantations through wires and speakers. Like any good spell, it works by transmuting energy, not by ignoring it. I feel intensely life's ups and downs, and house helps me move through these easier, turning pain into movement, isolation into connection. There is so much funk, history and power in the groove—each beat a heartbeat connecting past to present. It brings a special sense of purpose and affirms my badass vulnerability. 
My journey with house has evolved over time. From burning man organic house to 90s Chicago house. Well at first, it moved to tech house after a boutique festival, as I connected to the combination of lightness and sharpness of this sound. Then I digged into some deep disco, italo, indie dance, and minimal tech. Of course, there was/is still the obsession with the classics which I was discovering through documentaries initially. Most recently, maybe because I just became 30 and I am craving even more specific nostalgia, I'm feeling the pull toward 90s sounds with hip house and some trancy stuff. What always sticks with me is a soulful deep house groove, sexy bounce, some acid, and daring to play old interesting songs that are hard to mix!
I'm honored to have this space to invite deeper reflection with some questions:
1. How can we reclaim music and art as a political tool in depoliticized spaces?
2. How can we foster better consent and awareness culture on dancefloors/festivals?
3. What practices can venues, labels, and collectives adopt to support mental health in creative communities?
4. What strategies can artists use to resist algorithm-driven promotion and reclaim control of their distribution?

Constantly working hard as a performing DJ, the results have seen her
performing for promoters/venues such as Osaka Techno Mafia and club JOULE in
Japan, Modulus KL and Less Is More in Malaysia, UNDERRADAR in Indonesia,
and Arcan Saigon and Warehouse Hanoi in Vietnam. She's also a regular fixture
for the Thugshop collective in Singapore, who owns Headquarters, MDLR and
TUFF Club. 

Aya's style uniquely crosses the realms of club music - energetic, uplifting,
empowering techno, digressing with some cheeky and fun surprises in between.
Her classical music background allows her to effortlessly adapt to any crowd,
channeling their story into her storytelling. This is evident in her acclaimed HÖR
radio set in Berlin, where she blended tracks from Ryuichi Sakamoto and Joe
Hisaishi, and her Boiler Room set, seamlessly incorporating traditional Japanese
Gagaku.

Recently, Aya joined the renowned Midnight Shift label, earned a feature in Vogue
as a trailblazing female DJ, and was spotlighted by Mixmag Asia as an artist to
watch in 2024.

Revelation of Sound is pleased to present A DJ, promoter, label owner, and festival co-owner, Adam Rahman. He has exerted a significant influence on the dance music scene in the Middle East, India, and now expanding his impact globally over the span of several decades. Although techno currently dominates the dance music landscape, he has consistently advocated for cutting-edge music, whether in the realm of Techno or Electronica.

An innovative DJ and visionary promoter, Adam introduced avant-garde techno and electronic music to the Middle East shortly before the turn of the millennium. Through his WARPED nights, he laid the foundation for an exceptionally credible dance music scene. WARPED has transformed into exclusive gatherings and a monthly radio show called 'Warped After Hours' on Ibiza Global Radio, featuring emerging talents from the Middle East and India alongside Adam's unparalleled music curation.

Further accomplishments ensued through his contributions at Ohm Records, the renowned record store and agency he managed for many years, which introduced brands like Chill Out Festival, Taboo, iLL Communications and many more. Frequently, he would also perform during those events, demonstrating his versatility across a spectrum of styles encompassing deep, rhythmic and captivating vibes. He has shared the stage with notable figures like Derrick May, Carl Craig, Kevin Saunderson, and numerous other renowned artists. Subsequently, he became an indispensable member of the acclaimed Groove on the Grass festival team, once again positioning himself at the forefront of innovative dance music scene in the Middle East. In doing so, he continued to propel techno and electronica toward a burgeoning audience.

The advancement he achieved on a regional scale has been mirrored by his international performances, spanning Europe and Asia, and elevating him to a headlining position in his home countries, India & UAE. As a certified sound engineer, he swiftly transitioned into production roles, releasing music on labels
worldwide, as well as on his cherished KitchenSync Records—a label he co-manages in Dubai with two other friends. His DJ sets have garnered global attention, with his mix for Resident Advisor's Wild City being the inaugural
feature from India.

Through his A \ S \ O \ M alias, he has put forth a diverse range of music encompassing downtempo, leftfield, and alternative electronica. Adam's growth, evolution, and success mirror that of his initial passion, techno. Adam delves into a broad spectrum within the house and techno genre, presenting an array that spans from deep, dark, hypnotic, driving, loopy sounds to the groove-infused house and techno influenced by the Romanian music scene.

His performances are characterized by their ever-changing nature, steering clear of predictability while offering a unique experience each time.

Her recent highlights include a closing set at the iconic Elements night at about:blank (Berlin), performances at Distillery (Leipzig), Slip Club (Cyprus), and the Sunny Side Festival, curated by the Desert Society collective and with much more on the horizon.

Immerse yourself in the latest offering from DJ Nastia – Life In Athens, a deep and personal journey through light and colorful forms of techno.

Recorded as a tribute to a full year spent living in the seaside suburb of Glyfada, in the south of Athens, this deep techno mix reflects the warmth, freedom, and clarity of a Greek summer. It’s a softer, more introspective side of Nastia’s musical identity – a sound shaped by sunlight, sea air, and still moments of joy.

Blending elements of deep techno, melodic techno, and deep progressive rhythms, this set explores a more vibrant and emotional soundscape. Each track was carefully selected to capture the feelings, memories, and gratitude tied to a chapter of life lived close to nature and far from the fast pace of constant touring.

WOMXNIZED 001: R3NATA @ Berlin

@ninasonik was born on August 8 in the city of Oaxaca, Mexico.

Graphic designer, visual artist, vocalist and electronic music producer. In 2011, because of her deep interest in electronic music she decided to study production in Ableton Live in the teaching center focused on sound experimentation Fluxus Sound Lab.

Later in 2012, she released her first EP "Demon Deep" under the colombian label Deep Taste in which she produced different tracks and remixes with the colombian producer Tiago Vera. In 2013 she released "Anomaly Phats" " Tiago Vera and Nina Sonik showcase" and " Deep Taste Sessions Vol. 1" within the same record label Deep Taste with deep house and electro indie elements.

She is currently promoting and managing Motus Records with Demian Licht Demon and composing more music for her new multi-faceted project "INSOLENTES".

María Arango A.K.A. @Marimarea, is in charge of WOMXNIZED 005 and does it in an alternative way.

Founder of the NÓTT label together with Andrea Arias and Julianna, they intend to visualize and encourage the female presence on the electronic scene in Medellin, through netwotking, showcases and workshops.

Marea oscillates between industrial sounds, EBM, electro, techno, synth wave and italo disco.

In 2017 he participated with Gladys and Andrea Arias in the streaming of the first South American tour of the famous Dutch radio Red Light Radio.

In 2018 Marea launches its new A.K.A. Fata Morgana, with whom she focuses on electronic sounds from the 80s and 90s such as synth wave, italo disco, and new beat.

Marea is constantly exploring sound in her arts career and her productions are about to come to light.
