On 30 July, meet Argentina based dj Nico Banfi to deliver his two-track release - 'Take me' at IAMT Red!
"For Take Me I wanted to make something powerful but no so fast, so i put the track on 127 BPM, i created the kick and percussions with fills, and then proceeded to make the other instruments and FX. I wanted to put a powerful synth that matches with the rest of the track and when i hit that one synth that i liked, the others parts came to my head and the track was nearly done. The process was fast since i knew where i wanted to go with this track.

Surreal was diferent, it is what i call a "Frankenstein track", a lot of samples and parts of old projects or sounds that i did in the past that i liked and keeped on favorites,  when i mixed all of this parts together i realized what i wanted to do with this one. It is planned for a beginning  or a close of a DJ SET since is a more melodic and not so heavy track "

UMEK’s label 1605 closes out 2021 with a mixed artist EP featuring four peak time techno tracks by Rebel Boy, Julien Earle, Belocca and Subject32. Each of the tracks have been hand picked by UMEK and tested extensively in his DJ sets.

America’s Rebel Boy returns to 1605 after the success of his track "Psalm 39" that spent many weeks inside of Beatport’s Top 10 Chart. He has also featured on other influential techno labels such as Respekt, Senso Sounds and Riot. His track "Psychosis" is a great example of his unrelenting style that blends dark atmosphere and powerful synth lines with hard-hitting percussion.

Julien Earle is another 1605 favourite and he returns to the label for the third time, but has also featured on other imprints such as Kraftek, Say What?, and Gain. Also known for his online production tutorial videos, he once again shows off his skills in the studio, and delivers a track called "Chaos Physics". With building tension and a whirling synth line, its hammering kick drum makes it another peak time monster.

Hungarian artist Belocca makes his debut on 1605 following top-selling releases on many other labels ranging from Fe Chrome and Codex to his own Mainground Music. "Oscillate" opens with thrashing percussion, ominous vocals and a rumbling bassline, while the swelling synth lines ramp up the tension for maximum dance floor impact.

Subject32 is a band new artist making their first ever release with this impressive track titled “First Contact”. Bursting onto the scene with impressive style, this exciting new talent delivers a track with brooding atmosphere and explosive percussion. It builds towards an epic breakdown filled with euphoria, before the ferocity of the explosive bass drop allows the drums come smashing back in.

Booka Shade welcome back Moonwalk to deliver their first full EP on the label as the duo reveal their ‘Elessar’ EP to open December.

Milan-based, Neapolitan duo Dario Vizioli and Mauro Morabello, aka Moonwalk, have emerged in recent years as one of Italy’s brightest rising duos within the melodic house and techno scene, with releases to date via the likes of Stil vor Talent, Diynamic, Knee Deep In Sound and Suara gaining the attention of a host of the industry’s leading names, from Solomun to Carl Cox and beyond. Having debuted on Blaufield earlier in the year to remix Arm In Arm’s ‘Hunger For Your Vibe’, most notably featured during ARTBAT’s stand out Cercle performance, here we see the pairing return to Booka Shade’s label to deliver their first full EP on the label entitled ‘Elessar’.

Title production ‘Elessar’ opens the EP in emphatic fashion as the pair weave soaring lead synths amongst suspenseful, energy building breaks and sweeping sonics, whilst ‘Cheos’ welcomes as slightly darker aesthetic as rich melodies meet restrained yet punchy percussion arrangements alongside further towering builds and breaks. Last up, the duo combine with fellow Italian Erly Tepshi to unveil the softer yet bright ‘Ikarus’, guided by resonant leads and Elenora’s infectious vocals throughout.

PREMIERE: Moonwalk - Elessar (Original Mix) [Blaufield]

Ziger’s Eat My Hat imprint ushers in the new year by welcoming MXV to the label for his debut single. Hailing from London, the UK artist first appeared in November of 2018 with a release on Gabriel Ananda’s Soulful Techno Records. 2019 saw further successes with quality outings for Balkan Connection, Droid9, ICONYC and Soundteller Records. Now continuing to build momentum into 2020 MXV debuts on Eat My Hat with ‘Einrude’ alongside remixes from Tantum and Weird Sounding Dude. 

Beginning with the original mix MXV crafts a mystical sounding slice of progressive house. Bulbous beats, charged rhythms and striking effects begin the seven minute journey. Senses heighten as icy atmospheres and gaseous sweeps unite across a devilish first act. Percussive flurries and clustered motifs further advance the narrative, flowing effortlessly into an expansive break. Spanning close to two minutes in length the interlude saturates your senses with kaleidoscopic lines and a symphonic lead, opening up with each successive loop, before getting washed away in favour of stripped back drop and driving finale. 

Making his Eat My Hat debut and providing the first interpretation of ‘Einrude’ is Tantum. Hailing from Germany, Thomas Koch aka Tantum has enjoyed a quick rise through the electronic underground. Upon making his debut on Ein2 in December of 2018, the Karlsruhe resident went to a hugely successful 2019, highlighted by releases on Juicebox Music, Monaberry and Poker Flat. Now following a contribution to Mango Alley’s ‘Augmented 001’ collection to begin the year, Tantum delivers an excellent rendition of ‘Einrude’. Taking a cue from the original, Tantum beefs the framework up for a tough yet spacey cut primed for dance floor destruction. The first act creates a dark narrative through astral artefacts and trailing effects, before opening up an emotional reservoir during the main break. Reflective yet astral it’s a unique centrepiece, creating a quiet calm and perfectly setting up an exhilarating final act.

Rounding out the release and providing the second and final interpretation of ‘Einrude’ is Weird Sounding Dude. Long regarded as one of India’s most intriguing artists, the Bangalore resident has found a home on Balkan Connection, Juicebox Music, Plattenbank and Strange Town Recordings. Now following a remix for Modern Agenda, Weird Sounding Dude makes his Eat My Hat debut with an inspired take on ‘Einrude’. The transcendent energy from the original translates well with a smooth, chunky low end ultimately setting the pace. The astral qualities have been reprocessed with a gorgeous effervescent sheen, while the main break adds just the right amount of drama and emotion to make the timely drop hugely impactful. A superb remix from Weird Sounding Dude which caps off another must have release from Ziger’s Eat My Hat Music.

The track itself is full of dark, atmospheric elements, driven by a booming rolling bassline and a punchy, hard hitting kick. The track reaches its peak in the breakdown before diving into a drop driven by the bassline and moody female vocal.
