The Jam & Spoon remix of Age of Love is without a doubt one of the real classics of electronic music. A classic I occasionally played over the last years.
And if it hadn’t been for Renaissance Records, asking me to be part of this project for their 25 years anniversary Compilation it wouldn’t have crossed my mind to remix a Trance classic. 
It was definitely a big challenge, but also an honor.

Andhim adds tropical flavor to the already lush Subati, bringing together syncopated layers and a latin-infused vocal, shifting perspectives and ultimately morphing the piece into a scintillating crowd mover that is also a homage to Sven Väth's 'Electrica Salsa'. 

Brazilian duo Xique-Xique take on Noordhoek with their prevailing, slow burner approach. Distant yet familiar soundscapes permeate and intertwine with dreamy pads, bringing the track to a serene simmer.
Known for his passion for afro house, Daniel Rateuke administers his trademark moves to Subati, which takes a renewed, groove-heavy form. Aptly operating tribal drums and indigenous vocals and percussion, the track becomes an avalanche of rhythm and energy that makes for a great mood-setter.

Afterlife Recordings ends 2018 with an impressive statement from German duo Innellea.

The ‘Vigilans’ EP combines wide-ranging elements - a heavy, guitar riff on the title track, unhinged drumming, zippy synth melodies and distinctive sounds - to stamp the Innellea identity on a bold and high-energy record. They push limits and refuse convention in fine style, making for a standout entry in the Afterlife catalogue.

'The Dutch upcoming artist Colyn (@colynmusic) is the one who puts a stamp on the third EP of Infinite Depth. With two spacey and great mixed originals he laid more than a good foundation for the remixers. The title track ‘Passengers’ got remixed by the French brothers Esoteric Circle (@esotericircle) and the second original ‘Orbital Hypnosis’ got infused by the one and only Erly Tepshi (@erlyofficial).  

With the first track ‘Passengers’ the EP immediately starts off pretty determined. Soon the firm kick gets accompanied by a some pounding drums and well placed spacey synths, sounding like passengers finding their way through our universe chased by those thrilling drum sounds. 

Esoteric Circle managed to take the thrilling part of the original to a higher level with their remix. The spacey synths are making place for an appealing melody which increases the tension. This tension holds on till the very end of the track.

After being in a continuous state of space and tenseness the third track ‘Orbital Hypnosis’ adds some euphory. With its compelling break and hypnotical plucks it keeps you in a higher state of mind.  

Erly Tepshi’s remix takes you even a little bit higher by using this compelling melody as main flow through his remix. Only this flow makes some unexpected changes at the points Erly injected his typical, sometimes even distorted, plucked synths. With a heavy a breakdown almost at the end of the track this remix brings the EP to an end.'

Two of the most earnest techno acts in the scene, ARTBAT links up with Matador and his RUKUS imprint for their debut collaboration 'Apollo 11' - a direct and out of this world two-tracker named after the first successful moon landing.

The Kiev-based duo and the Irish DJ-producer have handed the title-track over to Mixmag ahead of the record's release on March 15. With its driving rhythmic elements, vigorous pads and lively arpeggiator breakdown, 'Apollo 11' is a tune that has gotten nothing but an ebullient reaction from dancefloors all around the globe.

Alessandro Marfia and Giancarlo La Barbera are Wabe (pronounced weib) an electronic music duo. 
The artists united with the idea of creating a new blend of live music and djing shaped performances. Sweets melodies and ethereal atmospheres culminate in a comfortable and dreamy state of mind. 
The singularity of Wabe’s soundscape is the result of an efficacious fusion of electronica, progressive house, melodic techno and ambient, consolidated in an aesthetic process which combines scrupulous production with exciting live performances characterized by analogue, digital machines and live instruments.  
In 2019 the duo released their first EP “Primitive Man”, an introduction into Wabe's music concept, an endless voyage somewhere beyond time and space, where the destination is the journey itself. 
Gaining a huge amount of European visibility with a reputation having been established as a stunning live set and an electronic music act that is both unique and transformative. 
The two members grew up in Palermo, Sicily, playing in different music projects, bands as well as djing in the most interesting venues of the city. Alessandro first studied drum and percussions, later the idea of integrating live music with djing moved him to study electronic music production and composition. Giancarlo mastered guitar and bass in a variety of genres and also song writing. The two artists formed Wabe in 2015.
