This mix for Quadrant Soundscape explores that space between immersive textures and drifting dub chords, built around hypnotic rhythms and subtle, long-form evolution. Segments
Time does not flow; it fractures. A shutter slices light into rigid frames, just as the magnetic head isolates a single, heavy pulse from absolute darkness. Segments. We are no longer observing the whole, but dwelling within the isolated fractions as they break apart and bleed into the periphery.

A single chord is severed from the reel, left to dissolve in a wash of chemical delay. The rhythm is not a continuous line, but a sequence of disconnected artefacts—moving just fast enough to create the illusion of forward motion, yet anchored by an immense, sub-aquatic weight. Each segment holds its own dense atmosphere, suspended in static and silver grain.

Bio/
Dubtommy is a producer and DJ known for his signature blend of deep, dub-infused and ambient electronic music. With a sound that effortlessly bridges atmospheric textures and hypnotic rhythms, he creates immersive sonic journeys that resonate on and off the dancefloor. Drawing from dubtechno roots and deep house influences, his sets are a rich exploration of warm, rolling basslines and crisp, echo-laden grooves. Whether through his meticulously crafted productions or captivating DJ performances, Dubtommy invites listeners into a world where deep vibrations and soulful melodies intertwine.

For the next episode of The Frontier we welcome Vincent Raude, Who has released music under a variety of alias , but is probably best know for his work as - Upwellings

  In his own word - “Upwellings is a project trying to explore the possibilities of dub in the minimalist techno environment”

Upwellings has been releasing music since around 2008 and has become a true stable of the Dub Techno scene. He is an incredibly consistent artist having carved out a unique deep atmospheric sound, his records never leave our bags. His level of consistency and quality have rewarded him with releases on some of the best Dub Techno labels around, his release on Greyscale - Lark Dub / Fed on Dub is a release that particularly stands out. He has also worked a lot with the spclnch lads and had some beautiful releases.   

For his Frontier mix, Vincent has presented a Hybrid Dj mix, working with Ableton, the mix is comprised of purely his own Upwellings tracks. It’s a near 2 hour journey that mutates and develops perfectly throughout. It really shows the depth of his creativity.   

We are thankful to have been able to work with Vincent and be able to showcase his music.
