PREMIERE: Glenn Davis - Freedom (Tr One Break The Chains mix)[DG001]

A Dub Techno Journey is a compilation that traverses Dantes circles of Hell, transforming them into hypnotic and profound soundscapes. Each track represents a canto from Dantes Inferno, interpreted by producers from different parts of the world, united by a shared sensitivity for dub techno vibrations. The idea was conceived by Francesco Tamburrano, who envisioned a musical journey blending literature and sonic exploration, and took shape through the collaboration with the label Superordinate, always attentive to visionary projects with an international scope. The result is a dark and immersive path, where enveloping basslines and deep echoes guide the listener on a sonic pilgrimage through Dantes Inferno.

Avenue Red welcomes Prakash, an experienced DJ and producer from the Spanish island of Gran Canaria, one of the Canary Islands about 150 kilometres off the northwestern coast of Africa. Prakash is a very knowledgeable guy and has been collecting music and spinning for almost 15 years, along the way releasing stacks of masterful mixtapes and playing at some interesting gigs internationally, as well as at home. He also turned his hand to music production and running his own vinyl label, Travellin Music, where he has featured on the only release to date with a remix from Vancouver tech house legend Jay Tripwire.

Prakash is a true cross-genre DJ, but it's clear to see his strong focus on the 90's/early 2000's tech house sounds from the origin of the genre. He lists among his Music idols: Craig Richards, Terry Francis, Steve Bug, Mike Huckaby, ZIP, Move D, Kerri Chandler, Nathan Coles, Bushwacka! and Silverlining AKA Asad Rizvi. That list makes for a tidy aperitif for what's in store in this presentation, his glowing CD-length mix for Avenue Red.

Andrea Cichecki is an artist inspired by sound and specialised in the field of electronic music. Based in Germany but with Dutch roots, Andrea has been honing her skills intensely during the last few years in order to flourish her creativity and to perfect her craftsmanship.

We invited Andrea to hold a workshop about mixing and mastering at DAVE Festival in Dresden. But due to the Corona Pandemic the workshop had to be canceled. So we talked online with her about her work as a producer, mixing and mastering engineer, her creative process and living in the countryside.

Prefering idea that music is like a kind of reflection of many factors that influenced the inner world of a person. This is something unique, allowing you to capture the very process of change, its dynamics, and not something static. As a result - it is a special storytelling language that can change the general atmosphere and state of mind. In addition, this language is accessible and understandable to many.
