Catharsis

This was a song that I definitely did not plan to write. As I was sitting in my chair strumming some random chords, I stumbled across this really pretty riff that sounded like it would go great as the basis of a song. Turned out, this riff just opened a gateway to all kinds of riffs so I narrowed it down and tried to keep it basic. I didn't plan on putting synth leads in it at first, but as I listened to the song without it, it only made sense, considering my lead guitar playing isn't as up to par as I'd like it to be. I know a lot of people were asking me to to continue that synth sound in a full song like I did with Lessface and I have granted everyone that wish. This song is called 'Daydreaming Tendencies' because when I was little, I would always stop doing what I was supposed to do just to daydream. To think about what could be and things I wanted to do. As I've grown older these dreams and aspirations have changed drastically, but the main thing I took from my childhood is that I've always loved to create things and dream about what they could become. So this song is a tribute to my daydreaming 2nd grade self. As my teacher would describe it, I had very profuse daydreaming tendencies. Hopefully one day this will turn into something.

The idea was to cover the song but instead of using the original minor scales, I went for the major ones because I thought it would be interesting to hear, thus making the song sound completely different from the original version.
