The highlight of my summer is always playing on a beach in Croatia!
Big thanks to Goulash for always inviting me to the island. This years mix is really a combination of tunes that I would have played at Goulash 2020 if it had been on. There are a few unreleased tracks and collaborations in here too. Hope you enjoy!

It was an absolute pleasure to remix this track for the incredible band Snazzback, the beating heart of Bristol's freshly emerging jazz scene!  Switching between a Jazzy Afro-House beat and half time Hip Hop business we felt it was crying out for a fresh lyrical flow from our man Franz Von, and boy did he deliver!!!

Waggles @ Goulash Disko 22 Main Stage

Ghanaian vocalist K.O.G and producer/guitarist Tom Excell (of Nubiyan Twist) join UK-based Hippo Sound System on this afro-infused house track. Deep and dreamy synth/guitar layers encompass the ancestral rhythms and create the perfect atmosphere for K.O.G's emotive lyrics. The song's hook, in the language of the Ga tribe, means to take time over caring for one's self, to heal, and to be grounded whilst navigating the traumas of life.
"Healing" is the 3rd single from Bristol-based Hippo Sound System debut album "Origins", released April 2023

The first track to be released from my new collective Hippo Sound System.  Each track from us will be very different as I invite guest musicians and producers to join us exploring new fusions of world music with Jungle, D&B and Global Bass. But this time with deeper, often more psychedelic and atmospheric qualities, inspired by the likes of Clap Clap! Bow De Bhajaan and Calibre.

This free download takes a sample of the beautiful cover of Jorge Ben's "Oba La Vem Ela" by Junip and features an original recording of the incredibly talented Stormae on violin.   The result is a Brazilian Folk-Rock infused Liquid D&B roller!
