Fergus Hodgson is an economic consultant with the Fraser Institute, a research fellow with the Tax Revolution Institute, and a roaming editor and podcaster with Gold Newsletter. He is a triple citizen of Canada, Ireland, and New Zealand, where he grew up, and has also lived in Argentina, Colombia, Ecuador, and the United States. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Boston University — where he received an athletic scholarship for rowing — a Graduate Diploma in Political Science from the University of Waikato, New Zealand, and a Certificate in Cuban Studies from the University of Miami. His commentaries have appeared in the Cleveland Plain Dealer, Charlotte Observer, Washington Times, New Zealand Herald, New Zealand National Business Review, and Halifax Chronicle Herald, along with online outlets such as the American Conservative, CounterPunch, Daily Caller, LewRockwell.com, and World Net Daily, and he has appeared as a guest on CBC Radio, Fox Business, RT International, and Sirius XM Patriot.
