The Secret Soul Society is Nottingham and South Wales-based founder/DJ/ producer, Cal Gibson, alongside musical friends such as guitarists, Mango Marr and K Theo, vocalist Nell Shakespeare, and Kyle Jones (oboe, flute) amongst others.

Earlier in his career, Cal used to be one half of Nottingham deep house / downtempo outfit Neon Heights back in the 2000s, springing from the same fertile Notts scene as Crazy P, Bent, DIY, Inland Knights, etc, and recording twelves and albums for many labels including Glasgow Underground, Yellow, Sunday Best, Afro Art, DIY, Imperial Dub, and Silver Network. This has led to worldwide DJ gigs and remixes from the likes of Larry Heard and Crazy P, respectively.

After a hiatus as Neon Heights, 2020 saw the emergence of 'The Secret Soul Society' with EPs on Paper Wave Recordings (Paper’s Balearic offshoot) and a full-length album for Slightly Transformed Recordings called 'Songs from the Soul Kitchen'.Presently South Wales based and label owners of Scruffy Soul Recordings with Australia’s 'The Found Sound Orchestra' and Japan’s, Jules Brennan, The Secret Soul Society is all about just having fun, digging into old records, and reworking them into a musical collage of funk, soul, jazz, disco, and all the good stuff squelched up into a psychedelic whole.

The Secret Soul Society's production credits include LW Recordings, Slightly Transformed, Paper Disco, Paper Wave, Scruffy Soul Recordings, Paper Recordings, Milk & Sugar Germany, and About Disco (to name a few).

Their new collaboration with South Africa's Slow Mo Lounge is 3 hours of back-to-back funk, soul, jazz, disco, and all the good stuff squelched up into a slow (95BPM - 105BPM), psychedelic whole, alongside Soweto-born founder, Kongisto.

I haven't had a "SloMotion GetDown" inna minute so I  chopped it out of the original 4+ hour mix and gave it a good mastering.  Hope you enjoy! Natasha Kitty Katt has been lighting up dancefloors across the globe with her energetic and eclectic brand of underground disco.

It’s been a tough couple of years, but Natasha Kitty Katt put the get down into lockdown & set herself up with a green screen & Starship Enterprise DJ set up. She launched herself into the livestream format creating her own unique cut up video edits with her usual style, good humour and above all fantastic music choices. You can catch her livestreams for legendary platforms & clubs including: Traxsource, Juno, Quantize, Djoon, & Jackie’s Festival, plus her stand out interview for Studio 54 FM on Sirius XM by Marc and Myra.

During this time Natasha also focused on producing more works for her Ghetto Disco record laabel and remixing for others such as Leee John (IMAGINGATION), Albertine Sarges, D.C LaRue & DJ Rae.

Regarding her first love on the decks Natasha picked up where she left off and has been lighting up dance floors across the globe with her energetic and eclectic brand of underground disco and cosmic house. She played this year’s sold-out Soul Heaven stage at Forbidden Forrest, Brixton Jamm, Playground Festival, Glades of Glory & Night Tales to name a few.

Born and raised in Edinburgh into a soul music obsessed family, Natasha was introduced to rare Soul, Funk, Boogie and Rare Disco from a young age.

Spotted by the main influencers in the Disco & House scene Natasha quickly took up residency at seminal events such as: Southport Weekender / Festival, UK, Suncebeat Festival, Croatia, Soul Heaven, Ocean Beach Ibiza, Pikes Ibiza. Following on from this, Natasha Kitty Katt was soon snapped up by the Defected Glitterbox imprint and is now playing at their Global Events around the world. 

Matching her meteoric rise in clubland her releases have gained interest with tracks out on: Glitterbox recordings, Quantize, Ghetto Disco Records, Tropical Disco Records, Midnight Riot, No Fuss Records, Masterworks Music, Paper Recordings, Tribe, Situationism (Tom Findlay – Groove Armada Remix), Louie Vega MAW has reworked two of her tracks on Nervous records. She also runs her own label, Ghetto Disco records focused on high quality disco & house music.

Sebastian Olivares also known as SSABES, born and raised in the north of Chile in a surf town called Arica. He grew up listening to his father’s road trip soul music like WAR, Creedence and Santana. Since teenage years he’s been completely in love with groovy 90s jazz hip hop pioneers like ATCQ, De La Soul, J Dilla and Pete Rock.

It was only after moving to Berlin in 2018 when the passionate and endless hunt for those rare disco/funk tunes began, alongside acquiring his first mixer, a used Traktor Kontrol S2. Achieving a smooth blend of afro, latin, brazilian, disco/soul/funk, deep house and any type of smiling music that gives you that active start of the day.

Beatwell is Dj who is based in Oslo, Norway. He holds a prestigious residency at Hakkasan Ling Ling, as well as playing regular gigs and private parties in his home town. His goal as a DJ is to always create the ultimate atmosphere, not just dropping bangers, taking the crowd on a journey into the rhythms of contemporary electronica, groovy disco & quality house music. He has been incredibly inspired by music from the last century including Old School Hip-Hop, Classic 80’s Disco, & the birth of Electronica. These have all made a lasting impression on him.

Wahine–an award-winning radio show host, music blogger, interviewer, and event producer–has worn many hats since returning to the decks after a 10-year hiatus. Her comeback began with winning the Defected Croatia Mix Contest in 2019, making her international debut at the festival and reigniting her DJ career.
Her appearance at the Defected festival alongside house legends and luminaries propelled her into the spotlight of the international disco and house scene, leading to her current status as a globally celebrated talent. 

She co-hosts the Spin City show on MyHouseRadio.fm and is a Passion Ibiza Radio resident. She has contributed guest mixes to various platforms including NTS, Mi-House, Sinestesia Ibiza, and Disco Deviance.

Post-pandemic, Wahine ventured into music production, with her mashups charting on Hypeddit and gaining support from radio shows worldwide. She hosts events in Atlanta, including Soul Seek and Joy*Ride, along with her signature tropical-flavored disco event, Wahine’s Hideaway, featuring international guests like Dicky Trisco and The Funk District.

Wahine has supported renowned artists Crazy P, DJ Sneak, Lego, and DJ Disciple at events in Los Angeles, Atlanta, London, and Amsterdam. Her radio show has featured guests such as The Reflex, Aroop Roy, and YSE Saint Laur'ant.

Described as “Disco in Paradise,” her sound is sundrenched and full of tropical influences, matching her Hawaiian moniker. Funky licks are spiced with percussive jams with equal parts brains and brawn with every beat telling a story of rhythm and roots.

Trained in a dozen world dance forms, Wahine is known to spend her last track on the dancefloor in communion with her fellow dancers.
