System Error launches its brand-new sub-label VARIANT with a statement - not a whisper - and Koloah’s “Pacific Orbital EP” delivers exactly the kind of intent-defining sound you'd hope for on a debut catalogue number. Leading the charge is “Cosmin”, a track that instantly maps out the label’s direction: emotional futurism, razor-edged functionality, and electro charged with actual feeling rather than empty posture.

“Cosmin” opens with wide, misty pads that feel almost suspended in cold air, before subtly broken beats begin to form beneath. Then the acid arrives - not as a gimmick, but as a glowing thread that pierces the track’s melancholy, tugging it forward with a kind of soft inevitability. Everything here moves in fluid arcs: the pads sigh, the 303 flickers like underwater bioluminescence, and the groove shuffles rather than stomps. It’s melancholic, yes, but never defeated. Emotional, but never sentimental.

The magic of “Cosmin” lies in how Koloah balances scale and intimacy: it’s a track that could close your eyes or lift your head, send you floating into orbit or sinking into the Pacific’s midnight zone - both journeys feel possible, maybe even simultaneous. A proper opener, a proper statement, and a perfect way for VARIANT to define itself from release number one.

I started this mix with a hypnotic trance that pulls you into a deep, physical feeling. 
I love playing with moods, so the energy moves into something more bouncy, bright, and playful, then dives back into different emotions again. I wanted to express a different kind of depth, a mood that isn't always on the same wave, but always connected to rhythm. At times, it even touches a bit of tension and the feeling of the world around us.

Created throughout 2025 by Afgang, Introspektiv arrives as a quiet threshold at the close of the year. A sci-fi-infused EP moving from shadow toward release, it traces a journey through darker phases into light, navigating the space between motion and emotion while embracing transformation as an ongoing process.

Introspektiv is a pause to reflect on the paths we’ve crossed, the shifts we’ve experienced, and the sounds that have defined this cycle, while carrying forward what continues to resonate. This EP mirrors that transition: introspection, release, recalibration, and an opening toward what lies ahead.

As the year fades, Introspektiv stands as both a reflection and a closing chapter - a quiet bridge into what comes next.

waitingfortriptomars (WFTM) was born in Ukraine and raised on the country's underground parties. After moving to Berlin during the war, she immersed herself in the local music culture, which heavily influenced her sound and led to the fusion of musical styles. As a passionate DJ, she plays a mix of techno & trance, and dancey energy, often starting from hypnotic tension and darker deep mood, and moving into euphoric high with energizing vibes, layering in sexy, driving beats that make people move and illuminate even the darkest spaces.
