We commence our set with a powerful introduction, awakening something within the listeners and spiriting them away on a new adventure. With a mysterious build-up, the initial segment of the set carries an ominous industrial energy, while a subtle infusion of euphoric elements and mesmerizing sounds tantalizes the senses. This narrative is further enriched by the inclusion of funky, dark, paced rhythms, layers of industrial depth, trippy elements, and potent hypnotic sounds expertly woven throughout our set. Its this musical palette that gives birth to various storylines and depths, consistently introducing the listeners to novel elements and immersing them deeper into the world of Wakatō.

Wakatō is a duo formed by De Baron and Heath Meyer, together they started their journey playing b2b together on an illegal rave in the pandemic time. Born from various encouragements to pursue music, Wakatō emerged.
Our shared passion evolved from a seemingly simple idea into a reality. Inspired by diverse sounds, from layered structures to melodic tones and deep echoes, we crafted a unique sonic identity. Now, in the pulsating rhythm of electronic beats, we stand on the brink of a new phase in our sonic exploration. Our story continues to unfold, fueled by passion and the quest for an authentic sound in the universe of electronic music.

wakato has a sound that's mainly focused on full kicks, intelligent rhythms with a minimalistic aproach. Always aiming for industrial and groovy techno with hypnotic, funky and jungle sounds.

Next up for our unique pop-up session at Carwash is Wakatō, the techno duo of Heath Meyer and De Baron. Rising from the underground scene, their sound features full kicks, intelligent rhythms, and a minimalistic, industrial style, all driven by a compelling groove. 

Expect a hypnotic blend of funky sounds, layered with melodic tones and deep echoes.
