Built For Better Days

The international collaboration album "Synkropation" brought a number of musicians of various genres together. One of the catchiest tracks to emanate from the studio during this project, was "Nigimandla", a collaboration between Wake to Wonder and Kwaito Superstar Mandoza. 

The track, composed by Wake to Wonder, has rock - as well as kwaito influences, and the title Nigimandla is a contraction of two words denoting the refrain "give me strength". The song was included in two albums, namely Synkropation and Wake to Wonder's own release, "Descarify."

Purest high is Wake To Wonder’s first single release in nearly two years. This follows two successful
albums, South African and European tours as well as collaborations with Mandoza, Eurovision
winner Dino Jelusic as well as rockstar supernova runner up Dilana.
The band have taken a new direction opting to stray away from their typical distortion rock driven
style and present a fresh new sound that appeals to various music lovers.
Vocalist Adam Boyd said “This track was written originally on two acoustic guitars and a bongo. We
decided that we needed a fresh element to the song and called up Paul Whitehead who added an
electronic flavor to the track. We built even further on the track in Watts Productions studios and
this is the result”

Descarify is a song inspired by the colourful and exciting adrenaline sport of motocross. Wake to Wonder performed at a motocross world championship - as well as several international events in 2011, and were requested by the ADAC, the German series promotors, to  write a theme song for the sport.
