I've been trying to clean up old audio cassette 'mix' tapes from the 1970s and early 1980s. Some have come up better than others. The basis of this piece is tape loop experiments I made as a kid, getting audio from holding a portable recorder up to the TV, radio, stereo, for music, ads, variety shows, news, between 1976 and early 1980s. There's about a dozen of these tapes. This one features a 1977 recording of Star Wars at the Regent Theatre, Richmond and a Don Lane Show interview with Evel Knievel. It's gets weird, and noisy.
