In the 16th episode of the #Sonogramma podcast dedicated to ambient and experimental music from the @ssi-records label, the curator of the podcast, Ilia @symphocat, presents the mix that includes meditative compositions by the Moscow-based project 𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝐈𝐧 𝐉𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐲.

On the path of creative research, the musical project July in January constantly returns to the enveloping form of melancholic memories and sentimental moods, exploring their personal anxious experiences and states. The track called "This night I met Gianluigi Gasparetti", which is the main motive of the podcast, was recorded by the author in one night in the long improvise session. The created musical structure is dedicated to the legendary Gianluigi Gasparetti (Oöphoi), who became, for July In January, a pioneer in Drone music and had a great influence on sound thinking. Also in the podcast there are several tracks from the album "In Memory for Everyone Who Disappeared" released early on SSI label and which was recorded in live improvisational sessions during pandemic 2020.

CHI was one of the first European groups that performed ambient music on stage. They released the cassette "The Original Recordings" in 1986, that soon became a collectors item. The premiere of their audio-visual show was in 1986 at The Lantaren/Venster in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.

This mix contains samples from: 'The Original Recordings' , 'The Bamboo Recordings', 'The Kallikatsou Recordings' and unreleased material.

An ambient album from a Russian musician and label owner Ilya Symphocat was released at number 151 on Simphonic Silence Inside. Icelandic Airwaves is an album from a trilogy dedicated to Iceland, its nature and culture. Ilya about the album: "... Iceland Airlines, it seems to me, are created for listening at a quiet volume, gradually and gently filling sound waves in space. Compositions are seen to me as additions, support to those images, places, feelings that I wanted to express through music. They like clouds that float above us, quite self-willed and capricious, act according to their nature, gathering in harmony, then crumble again changing texture and resonances. But you should be at the right place in the right time and you will understand what they speak about. By the way the fact that the composition was able to pass through the tape to create in them a special power or involvement within listen to, for example, before sleep ... "

Icelandic Airwaves - альбом из трилогии посвященный Исландии, ее природе и культуре. Илья об альбоме: "...Исландские Авиалинии, как мне кажется, созданы для прослушивания на тихой громкости, постепенно и мягко заполняющие пространство звуковые волны. Композиции мне видятся дополнением, поддержкой к тем образам, местам, ощущениям которые хотел выразить через музыку. Они как облака степенно проплывающие над нами, достаточно самовольны и своенравны, действуют согласно своей природе то собираясь в гармонию, то снова рассыпаются изменяя фактуру и резонансы. Но стоит оказаться в нужное мгновение в нужном месте и вы поймете о чем они говорят. Кстати тот факт, что композиции удалось пропустить через плёнку создало в них особое напряжение или вовлечение в течении прослушивания, например перед сном..."
