The Berlin-based, rising wave/post-punk duo hits back to Detriti records with their second EP: Neon Arabesque.

While the A-side of the cassette includes the original trilogy of” Neon Arabesque”, the B-side contains two songs stressing the complex nature of repetitive patterns and painful behaviors.
The trilogy of “Neon Arabesque” challenges the set borders of time, space, and musical genres. From Turkish poetry to Neue Deutsche Welle and synth-punk, Neon Arabesque consolidates the experience of disappearance. It shows the newborn identities rooted in the disappearances of cultural consciousness and voices through neoliberalism in different geographies, namely Gazino Maksim of Istanbul and East Berlin. “Neon Arabesque” trilogy melts sadness, euphoria, sense of nostalgia, melancholy, and rebel in the same pot via various sonic scapes.

Years Of Denial - La Pendue [Veyl]

All proceeds from Confused Machines' digital sales will go directly to Physicians For Human Rights – Israel (PHRI) www.phr.org.il, which continues its medical work and humanitarian aid in the West Bank despite the difficult circumstances.

Since October 2023, PHRI has doubled its activity in the West Bank and is sending two weekly mobile clinic visits to help communities that are cut off from medical treatment due to the severe wave of settler and military violence, movement restrictions, and the financial crisis in the West Bank.

PHRI is currently unable to operate in Gaza due to restrictions by the Israeli authorities, and have been barred from delivering aid to the strip. PHRI is constantly working to resume these activities and will do so as soon as the circumstances allow.

We urge for an immediate ceasefire, the return of all hostages, and a peaceful future for all inhabitants of this troubled land."

After last "Summer Óde" single release, Ian Metty is back on his own imprint to share with you another 3 pieces of his repertoire.

This time around, rather older tunes, made between years 2016-17, while still residing in Barcelona, Spain.
Tunes that were first supposed to be in his debut album.

But since having too much music, those 3 tracks did not make the final selection, and so are ready to go out just months before the full album comes out.

"In Distant Memories EP" showcases 3 distinctive, yet energy wise similar music compositions, with opening title track to warm things up.

After setting up the mood, Worganium comes in stronger with more dancy groove and sharper sounds supported by strong baseline to spice things up a bit, topped up with French voices.

To finish the EP, we are closing with yet deeper tune Aveyron, which was inspired by wondering in a French forest countryside of the same region, hence the name of the tune.

The whole EP is not super fast, yet not super slow, and can be played and danced to as well as just enjoyed in your sofa.

With Reverb of the Gone EP, THEGOD01 ventures into a rarefied, otherworldly space, drawing inspiration from metaphony: the controversial and fascinating practice of attempting to capture voices and messages from the afterlife through audio devices, radio static, and analog recordings. For THEGOD01, this isn’t about superstition or traditional spiritualism. The attempt to communicate with invisible dimensions becomes a tool for expanding consciousness, a means for human beings to transcend material limitations and access higher states of awareness. Metaphony is not just a medium for contact, but a mirror of the inner self: what echoes from the other side ultimately reflects who we are.

Sonically, the EP reflects this tension between worlds. Two tracks, 'Afterlife Glitch' and 'Intermodulation Ritual', follow a solid 4/4 structure, unfolding through a techno language that is dark, abrasive, and hypnotic, blending rhythmic pressure with dense textures saturated in inter modulated signals and ghostly resonance. The title track, 'Reverb Of The Gone', is instead built on a broken beat structure, as if the fracture of linear time were necessary to open a passage through reality. Here, glitch is not a malfunction, but the encrypted voice of the unseen.

With this release, THEGOD01 merges ritualistic electronics and metaphysical inquiry, tracing a path that challenges both the ear and the mind.
