PR: Horn and percussion trio Moon Hooch established an enduring bond with producer/vocalist Tonio Sagan after touring together in 2016, with Sagan later providing guest production on the group’s 2017 Light It Up EP. Now both parties are reconnecting for “Rise,” a hypnotic blend of live instrumentation and expertly crafted verses. Achieving the right balance of musicality and rhymes came in multiple phases - Moon Hooch and Sagan composed the instrumentals together, and Sagan later added more layers of sound design and production, including a live bass line performed by Chris Ball.
