This is a fun demo I made about three months ago, upon rediscovering it this morning I gave it a little mix and some cool effects towards the end, all in all an experimental project thrown together in Logic at my house on two random days and not for any particular reason, but I like it as an idea for whenever, if ever, I get a band together.  Stick with the groove, it's a little funky at first during the breakdown part, but I hope you smell the experimental flavors and not just the repetitive nature of it.  I put this on loop and got lost in meditation this morning, so I figured I'd share it with others who might like it like I do.

I actually recorded this back in 2009,  just re-discovered it.  It is a musical epic coming in 3 main parts, Act I: 0:00-2:42  Although this is the longest part, it has the least amount of interesting points, kind of like the first hour of a movie, ending with a foreshadowy transition into... Act II: 2:42-4:25 is the rising action to the climax which hits around 3:34, then Act III: 4:25 to the end is the rocking out conclusion.  This is still in raw demo form with programmed drums (that took forever) and I took a clip of an audience clapping and sliced it up and aligned each clap to the song, you might be able to tell I had a lot of fun making this one... ;)

Excursion

I wrote this little lick / chorus thing over at Alex's the other day, then just decided to put a little demo of it down and mess with it.  Just sharing the fun I had, came out pretty cool!  Anyways, hoping to record this stuff "for real" soon, stay tuned!

2012 Liberate Demo

A conceptualized new version of this progression that I've actually used before (see B and C section of "Excursion"), some stuff came out pretty cool, I thought, so I figured I'd share it.  It's as if you are drifting in space, then all of a sudden hit warp speed, or are being sucked through a black hole or something!  LoL, or not.  One thing is for sure, it needs more cowbell!  I did this as I do most "demos", start with a guitar track, program some drums, record a bass track, find some wild synth sounds that fit, add more percussion, then do a little tweaking to the mix and voila.  Not too much effort, really.  I don't think I can start to take any of this very serious until I find some other peeps to start a band with, until then, enjoy my crazy antics home-brewed just for you. Circuit ActioN

"Hot Spring" meaning it was hot outside this week, and because I had to sit inside to cool off, I decided to write and record a funky jam, and start from scratch.  So here it is...  Again, I'd love to collaborate on any of these ideas, looking for artists to write with, perhaps put a side project band together, whatever!  I have a ReverbNation page (.../WalkerMusic) with a bunch of other ideas.  This is downloadable, so take it and record something on top of it if you want, send it back!  I'd love it...  This is all experimental material recorded in my bedroom, not to be confused with any professional studio recordings or anything (even though I do work at a very nice studio, I rarely ever work on my personal music out there). Hot Spring

This is still a work in progress, the vocals are still rough and I want to get friends to do the harmonies...  I just put some lead guitar and harmonies on it today and felt like sharing the progress so far, enjoy the beta version of my new song. The Music 06.12

These are home recordings of ideas of songs I've had.  I am interested in starting a side project band, I need help turning these and some others at [reverbnation.com/walkermusic] into an actual album,  I have a few ideas  for lyrics, but as I want this project to be mostly focused on the music, I am waiting til the music is assembled before attempting to 'paper mache' it with lyrics, if any would even be necessary that is.  I am trying to find some guys or gals who play keys, horns, guitar, bass, or can sing, interested in helping to write and record some music with me and a few of my friends.  The idea is not to have an entire band but an album constructed with many different featured musicians.  I definitely encourage any lyric writing as this is still in the shadows, I have ideas for a few songs, but not even sure the music or project as a whole takes the words in a different direction, I am open to so many things, whatever you hear I want to hear.  Eventually I would try to assemble everyone after the album is done and perform it live and capture it on film, but these are just a few of my dreams...
