The sky gave him a place to call home and the whole world rejoiced and because the birds are crowned, they build their nests. The burden's received, whispersonified in the thicket. Don't it make you feel alive to know that anyone can make it all seem like a lie? Cloven tongues glow among spelt. False fingers melt at the burning of bridges they never built. Knees that never buckle will not let me drown - in the current, in the off-beat. Trees that never splinter fill my lungs with the breath of love, with the promise I made to a blessing God and I will not let it go. The rivers are wide, the road is narrow, the ocean is hollering, the supper's on the table. The pattern in the pines - we are homeward bound.
