Don't it make you feel alive to know that anyone can make it all seem like a lie? Cloven tongues glow among spelt. False fingers melt at the burning of bridges they never built. Knees that never buckle will not let me drown - in the current, in the off-beat. Trees that never splinter fill my lungs with the breath of love, with the promise I made to a blessing God and I will not let it go.
