What an unusual piece, I'm guessing you're using a Theremin for the melody, it gets a little 'pitchy' towards the end but it's ok.  Thanks for sharing, and your support. :)

夏の庭人の居ぬ間に走り広がる
日蔭を避けて絡みつく
石の壁に柱に
噴水に水盤に
目くばせ謀（はかりごと）
忍び笑い
刃は刃引きに

Summer garden.
Spreading while no one is around.
Avoiding the shade, entwining.
On stone walls, pillars, fountains, and water basins.
Winking. Plotting.
Smiling secretly.
Dulling the sharpness of the blade.

August 2025 Currently on residency in Italy !
These are the 2nd batch of 3 short sketches using field recordings captured around Montegiovi, Tuscany. With these little works I am experimenting freely with what can be produced from each days sounds - manipulating them and stitching them back together with the aim of producing a long format work at the end of the residency. I have done a dozen or so since arriving a fortnight ago but not sharing them all (some are pretty rubbish). The idea is to have them done by the end of the day (or night) then move on to something fresh the next day. 
I am truly thankful for this opportunity that has been provided for me by the Salamanca Arts Centre in Tasmania and Cultivate Projects/La Baldi residency in Italy and The USA.
And of course the wonderful people of Montegiovi !

Isle of Calm

I teach in US higher education (in a STEM field) & am a hobbyist composer writing in a few different styles. I recommend headphones. All of my music is released under a Creative Commons Attribution/Noncommercial license.

My bandcamp page is getting out of date again, but some older albums there can be downloaded for free or for a name-your-own price donation.
