Hello, my name is Richard Davenport, and welcome to the official Soundcloud of WalkingGhost.This is a solo project.For now, these are all home-recordings, but I will be in the studio shortly.I am trying to put an album together, and I am in the very early stages of doing so.  I like to say the sound I am going for is: "hauntingly romantic orchestral sonic-pop".I know, a mouthful. So WARNING: If you are looking for a summer-jam, to bop your head along to in a jeep wrangler, on your way to the beach with a few pals, this is NOT the music for you.  It is always important to note your influences, so mine are: Sigur Ros, A Silent Film, Silence, Radiohead, Bon Iver, Horse Feathers, Tom Waits, Civil Twilight, Joy Division, Nick Drake, Elbow, The Smiths,The Script, The National, and the obligatory mentioning of Coldplay.Of course, there are many other musicians I listen to, but these are the ones who really influenced my sound.There is ALWAYS room for improvement, so criticisms are always appreciated.Thank you checking out my page, hope you enjoy what you hear, and MORE TO COME!
