What a lovely weekend it was. After I spent a whole night on the dancefloor, meeting old friends and making new ones. I had this honour to re-open (or wake up) the festival in the early Saturday morning. When the rave stopped and the dancefloor went quiet, my time has arrived.

The three tracks condense the casted-away-moments on the vast oceans. Produced in the soulful leisure hours while working on a ship, the EP delivers a statement for freedom.
Somewhere between warm Indie Electronica and pleasantly relaxed leftfield House, the music doesn't care which drawer it is stuffed into. 
LCAO's approach to productions from a more non-electronic perspective, creates the special narrative crossover form of the songs or as he says himself:
"eclectic electronic music". 
Aesthetics more reminiscent of soundtracks are translated by LCAO into the language of electronic music.

It was yesterday's news, thrown out to be drenched in the pouring rain. Though she'd disagree, nobody cared anymore, they'd already moved on to the next disposable piece of gossip. That was just how things worked, the life cycle of information, regardless of its validity, was shorter than most...

In recent years the underground electronic music scene in Mozambique's capital of Maputo has begun to garner some attention across the pond, put on the map by artists and producers like reputed beat maker and all round musical polymath Nandele. Having been surrounded by music from a young age, Nandele's influences stretch far and wide, from early influences like Fela Kuti, Kanda Bongo Man and Hugh Masekela to the 90s hip hop beats he used to freestyle over and the grunge band he went on to play drums in at the latter end of the decade.

All of these experiences further ignited his love for drums and later his move into electronic production, which has led to releases on the likes of Kongoloti Records, Already Dead and now London-based imprint Cotch International. His new EP is about challenging preconceptions of what a Mozambique artist should be creating and sees him blending elements of industrial, EBM, minimal synth and heavy hip hop beats with traditional instrumentation and mythology.

2020 - 2 'One Circle Around The Sun With You' [Mixtape]

Changes is the debut album of WalkPalmer.

Changes displays the works I created during the lockdown of 2020 and change has therefore been a driving force during its production. The album introduces you to various genres and moods ranging from ambient to deep house with inspiration drawn from lo-fi, percussive and melancholic soundscapes. The ability to embrace change has been key for me to finish this project, having to overcome both technical and emotional barriers along the way and I'm incredibly thrilled to finally share the results.

Excitement had quickly turned into euphoria — an emotion they barely recognised after a year of non-events. It was arresting, all-consuming, a feeling they didn't want to subside for an eternity. And it wouldn't, at least until dawn broke, and even then they'd find a new place to play, a space to dance until their energy faded away.

DJs and producers Joginda Macnack and Mike Richards are the minds behind Black Cadmium, a duo navigating the rave-tinged corners of the electronic music spectrum. Following a recent contribution to Carista's Modern Intimacy compilation, and several EPs for Vault Wax, Afro Deep and Ovum, they make their debut on Violet's naive imprint with Chemistry, one of their most diverse outings yet. The five tracks touch on a host of different influences, working from heady broken beat to full throttle rave, jacking Chicago house and explosive jungle.

I like my vibes heavy on the bass, ticklish on the percussion and with a mysterious lofi melancholy. 
I love DJ'ing with a passion and being able to set the mood and tone of a crowd is an exhilarating feeling.
