Gregori Klosman & MC – “Gig”

Gregori Klosman & MC’s dirty house epic “Gig” has been tearing it up in clubs around the globe for some time now. On heavy rotation from Steve Angello amongst others, the track has been a sure-fire danceflloor destroyer on every outing and now finally gets unleashed upon the world via a free download from Size Records.

Tough beats and dark swabs of bass make for a restrained and tense opening, but all that is shattered as the dirtiest bassline imaginable bursts through and pierces the atmosphere. It’s hard-edged and ferocious stuff, bringing a twisted, highly energized attitude to proceedings. Short piano motifs are brought into the mix briefly, adding a subtle sense of melody that gives the crashing drops even more impact when then haul through the bottom end once more. This is Gregori Klosman doing what he knows best and blowing the club out of the water. A true dancefloor weapon, handle with care!!

Axtone artist and future rave pioneer, Shapov, makes his triumphant return to Axtone alongside his Russian comrade Amersy, in the form of ‘Vavilon’. Inspired by the ancient Middle-Eastern city of Babylon, the two young producers join forces on this contemporary but orchestrally influenced release.

While a new name to many, Shapov’s music will be instantly recognisable as it has received heavy support across the 2014 and 2015 festival circuit, from the likes of Axwell Λ Ingrosso, Alesso, and Hardwell. Influenced by disco and dance legends, Shapov holds nothing back having recently premiered a new slew of IDs during his very own, Russian all-star hometown performance.

Coming off his single ‘GO’ on Refune, Amersy has made considerable strides since first coming into the spotlight after winning a Nicky Romero remix competition. With a festival fueled remix of Hard Rock Sofa & Skidka’s ‘Let Me Hear You Scream’ on Size Records, Amersy is determined to plant his flag in some of dance music’s most respected labels.

Shapov’s unquestionable studio prowess makes him a perfect match for Axtone’s expectation of quality and foresight that have come to form the label in its 10-year history. With plenty more "ID’s" from Shapov still to come, Axtone fans have plenty to look forward to for the duration of 2015.

All of these songs were first composed on a fun community event called "Flock Flip". It was a challenge for music producers to make a sample from the given key and bpm for 30 minutes, and then we would have an hour to flip them! Some great memories were made, and even better friendships. Some of these songs are years old now, but I hope you guys enjoy seeing how I got better as a producer through the course of time!

Closing out the summer season is always an important job for a Sosumi signing, and this year does not disappoint with a massive track courtesy of Matt Nash & Felix Leiter ‘Heartbeats’.
A pillar of label boss Kryder’s tour performances, the track has been picked up by the likes of Steve Angello and Deniz Koyu and has been constantly gaining momentum amongst the scene with plays at Tomorrowland (BEL), Mysteryland (NL) and Creamfields (UK) to name a few.

The track itself begins calmly, but as the vocal, “Your heartbeat’s racing” kicks in with a direct reference to the tempo of the track, the beat comes alive with a thumping kick and accompanying lead which together makes for another peak time weapon courtesy of Sosumi Records.
