This kit was created by loading the previous Volca Sample kit created from the beat tape Kit Kuy onto the Volca

The original samples were tweaked analogue isolator added and played through a hand built speaker featuring a valve buffer amp.

The samples were recorded from the speaker onto cassette using a TalkBoy at this stage the OSC section was replaced with bell sounds and a Russian music box these were not run through the speaker just recorded direct using the TalkBoy.

Recorded all samples off the TalkBoy into Tracktion T7 EQ, saturation, limiting and a slight bit of reverb on some samples added then exported at -5db.

All the samples were then uploaded to Bandlab and the automatic mastering CD pre-set applied downloaded re trimmed then loaded into the Vosyr app.

The aim was to trim the fat out of the previous samples by running it through the speaker any frequency the speaker couldn’t handle would not be present and then the TalkBoy was to add more texture and LoFi qualities

This sample pack is a side project of the beat tape “KIT CUY” by WallsVado. "KIT CUY" is a beat tape / audio scrap book of our trip through South America. The beat tape was made using only the Volca Sample with completely custom samples.

The initial sounds were created by combining a drum machine with a mono synth this was then played through and recorded from a PA system in an Adobe house (Adobe - walls made from mud). These samples once processed and edited with Caustic Editor formed the basis of the sound palette which was added to with found sounds from the trip through Peru, Ecuador, Bolivia & Chile to make the tracks of "KIT CUY".

This pack is a combination of the initial sound pallete layered with selected found sounds from the trip & enhanced with plugins. Focusing on creating a unique sounding kit & turning the Volca Sample into a dedicated drum machine.
