The last harvest of 2021 is here and I like to send a special thanks to all of you, the listeners! Thank you so much for tuning in every month! To help us celebrate the end of this season I contacted the DJ that has influenced & inspired myself and many others on our journey through HOUSE music. He has released originals and remixes on labels like Maya Records, Moulton Music, Desert Hearts Records just to name a few. The second installment of re Interpretations form Slam’s latest, critically acclaimed album Reverse Proceed sees Soma look to yet more highly regarded Techno artists to provide their reimagining’s of their favourite tracks from Reverse Proceed. Long time Soma collaborator Gary Beck makes a welcome return to the label alongside fellow Scottish upstarts Clouds and finally Dutch Techno wizard, Jeroen Search. Each brings their inimitable style to the project.

Gary Beck steps up first with his take on Catacoustics. His fiery brand of looped out Techno take the already tough Catacoustics into another realm. Gary comes out, all guns blazing using the original hook to great effect as it trips out over his ferocious kicks, thundering percussion and powerful dance floor groove.

Not shy of a fierce remix, the Clouds twosome give Resolved a thorough going over. One of the more ambient tracks from Reverse Proceed, the beatless, breathtaking original is well and truly given a proper workout by the young Scottish producers. Filtered, shaking percussion leads us into the analogue warmth of the Resolved pads. This light start rapidly gives way to a full on assault of rhythmic destruction as Clouds turn in a serious weapons grade Techno track. 

The influential figure of Jeroen Search closes off this EP in fine form with his version of Cirklon Bells. Widely regarded as a true innovator in Techno, Jeroen shows off his skills with this remix as he powers in with a straight out 909 workout infused with hypnotic synth hooks. Given the live treatment, Jeroen is able to keep things exciting with the remix and easily pulls out a highly addictive remix.

Sneak's House Party Friday the 13th - June 2025

Hey everyone! Today, we have a special set by your favorite House as Fuck DJ and producer, Matthew Brian! Matt has had one of the longest Friday night residencies at the Airconditioned Lounge (aka AC Lounge) where he founded House Music Fridays, and has worked alongside some of the top DJs and producers such as Derrick Carter, Luke Solomon, and DJ Sneak. You can find some of his production on Beatport, Traxsource, and Bandcamp with collaborations on Kolour Recordings, Tabby Traxx, and Late Night Jackin’. This mix was recorded live at Souleil’s debut party at The Hole in San Diego with headliner DJ Heather on June 22, 2025. Matt did an awesome job at closing the party after DJ Heather’s set. To be a successful house music producer, you have to make tracks that DJs want to play. And, to be a good DJ, you have to play music that inspires people to move their asses. Simple in theory, but not in execution. Wally Callerio’s inherent ability to do both — and to do both well — has served him justly over the last two decades, establishing him as an artist with talent, vision and staying power in a genre that has navigated tumultuous highs, lows and growing pains in between.   

With over 30 years of experience behind the decks and in the studio under his belt, Callerio has put out a remarkable 250 original tracks and remixes on over 50 labels worldwide. Most recently, his music has been released on such respected heavyweights as Defected, Cajual, Farris Wheel Recordings, Grin Music and Sampled Recordings. In addition, Callerio has earned accolades under his alter ego moniker Poncho Warwick, consistently ranking as a top annual pick for best chillout artist on Beatport.  

In his role as Music Supervisor for “Unconscious Therapy,” a documentary released in April 2016 that chronicles the rise and evolution of house music via the lens of Frankie Knuckles and his fellow innovators, Callerio took on the crucial responsibility of​ ​ licensing and curating the film’s soundtrack.​ ​ He is also a featured artist in the documentary, alongside Mark Farina, Derrick Carter, Masters at Work and a bevy of other house icons.   

Possessed of an entrepreneurial spirit and willingness to embrace change, Callerio has earned and enjoyed enduring success as both an artist and label-owner. Los Angeles-based Dufflebag Recordings, which Callerio launched in 1998, has been churning out deep and funky grooves suffused with soulful vocals since its inception, and the label boasts an impressive roster of artists that includes Demarkus Lewis, Manjane, Alysha Kid, Corduroy Mavericks, JT Donaldson, Natural Rhythm, Ryan Truman and R&B legend Jon B. under his moniker Jah Ques.   

For Callerio, house music still holds just as much untapped potential as it did when he first cut his teeth on the genre in the early nineties — and he’s never been one to rest on his laurels when his passion is at stake and opportunity abounds. “I don’t try to predict the future of house, I try to give it my imagination and push with my music,” Callerio says. “I try to inspire people into making and playing the right stuff.” That drive and openness have kept Callerio prolific, relevant and on top of his game — and better still, are a promise of many good things yet to come.
