"SLEEPY EYES"

Influenced by the brilliant work (Dark Sitar) of The Pharmaceutical Phaggot, some Sitar in this track. Main stringed is mandolin. TPP refused to transact a ludicrous deal I proposed some weeks ago, by which I offered TPP,  in part exchange for his Sitar, a banjo playing rodent (so far as he knew). Following the collapse of what would have been a transaction to remember, I therefore had to make my own Sitar.... from commonly available household items (mostly stuff found in a drawer marked 'pieces of string too small for use'). I was drawn to man's not unnatural obsession with the cosmos from the earliest days, through using it to navigate the world and gain power, to now potentially using it as a last ditch escape from our polluted and depleted home. I particularly enjoyed this song as I get to sing in Spanish and also a good proportion of this song is instrumental. So sit back and let this journey wash over you. This is a friendship collaboration with Nounya Sidhe, Belinda aka The Great Weset, Wout, Wobbe Visser and Walther Suk. Nounya and Belinda chanted the Har Mantra in this song, which is a great accomplishment considering the breathing technique. The Har mantra evoques abundance in spiritual and material ways, and chanting it for a couple of minutes is very energizing. I was charged with energy after the recording, even though I didn't chant along. Enjoy this little piece of music!
