Born in Saigon and growing up in France, Manny is one of the key players in Saigon's nightlife scene.

Manny’s love for hip hop music started with 90’s French hip hop music. His passion for the genre started to evolve while listening to one of the Wu-Tang Clan’s sample compilations, “Shaolin Soul”. That paved the way which led him into soul funk disco music. 

Since then, Manny has dabbled with many genres, such as African and tropical culture. He has developed his own styling of soul to topical groove with a touch of modernity. Every so often his music tends to be a little bit wilder, as he explores deeper dark sounds.

He is co-founder of Hazy Lemons, 1 half of Sodom & Gomorrah and a member of Banana Hustle and Secret Weekend crews.

They are also big music lovers and supporters of the Saigon scene. Since the lockdown they have been helping to feed the masses at this difficult time. Even giving out free delicious food to those down on their luck. Including WAM’s own Smudge. 

Smudge has been fueled by Bread & Butter’s (Mackerel Sandwich “no cucumber!”) since moving to Thao Dien. He asked them to send them 3 tracks (the bread) and added his own filling to bring a bite sized feast for your ears. A blend of music from all around the world ending in the city we are all surviving in Ho Chi Minh by Red Axes.

Born in a French tropical island (La Réunion), Folio has set up on Vietnamese electronic scene since 2018 by creating collectives and electronic afternoons on cruise (FLOW). 

Folio has thrilled dance floors over Vietnam from the best clubs and music venues in Saigon (Observatory, Lighthouse, Arcan, WAM ...) to the famous underground club of Hanoi, the Savage. 

 As digger and old school lover, he felt in love with vinyls and started collecting records from all over the world : an happy mix of groovy house, electro, minimal stirred up with some disco pleasures. 

  Over the last few years he has traveled to Morocco, France and his hometown island playing at few venues, digging new records and sharping his dj skills.

Originally Teruu played for 10 years as a drummer in a Tokyo based Hardcore Punk band. He was taken over by the charm of dance music in 20xx and started DJing since 2015. His energetic, disco sets are fuelled by house, techno and other obscurities.

He was a resident at the infamous Savage in Hanoi before he moved to Saigon, where he now also is the booking manager of DJ bar WAM. In recent years Teruu played festivals in the region such as: Studio Adventure(Hanoi), Vibe Nation Festival(Saigon) and he played and curated Zipang festival(Hoian/Japan).

Recently, we focus on and promote DJs and producers from Vietnam and other neighboring Asian countries as the founder of Mogra Radio.

The world’s music culture is facing the biggest challenge in its history. Since March, Asia’s nightlife was officially shut down to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. This meant that millions of employees and hundreds of thousands of artists are now suddenly without employment and the many venues, clubs, festivals, club nights and parties that are part of the Asian cities identity are on the brink of ruin. Most of them getting no support from their governments.

United We Stream is a non-profit streaming initiative started by Berlin clubs with the goal to raise funds for charity and to support music venues and individuals affected by Covid-19 related closures. Having quickly expanded as far as the UK, Netherlands, Sweden, Spain, Austria and beyond. Now banding together multiple countries and cities across Asia, launching the biggest club online on the continent.

Liverpool born, minimal DJ, Zak, introduces himself to the Saigon club scene with a mix that reflects his many years of partying in the crowds across Europe’s dance floors.
Groove is guaranteed when Zak is playing as he draws influences from Romanian groove merchants like Arapu and Pedro, and producers like So Inagawa. 
His style is stripped back, groovy, minimal house music that is guaranteed to make you nod your head and tap your feet.
