I'm Okay by Sam Ock

UK-born, now NZ-based NÜ will release her 3rd single ‘Clap’ on 25th October 2019.

A witty and upbeat pop tune, with an addictive chorus. Clap was co-written by NÜ with Alex Wildwood, who also produced and engineered the track.

Lyrically, the song embraces NÜ’s British sarcastic humour by applauding the breakdown of a relationship. Suggesting the ex-lover deserves credit for their ‘skirt chaser’ personality and ability to break one’s heart and quickly move on. 

“What inspired the lyrics was this idea of smiling whilst giving the middle finger. The petty side of me thought it would be funny to 'shake it off’ and applaud someone that has hurt me. Which inevitably led to the story illustrated by the music video. I know a lot of people can resonate with this, pretending everything is okay for the sake of their ego, ” says NÜ


Bio

NÜ grew up in a small village called Onchan on a tiny island called Isle of Man. At 15 she moved across the world to another tiny island, New Zealand. Heavily influenced by musical theatre from a young age, she’s a consummate performer who has loved the stage for as long as she can remember. After high school she pursued a degree in music, absorbing everything she could about the music industry, from artistry and songwriting to the business side of things. “I’m very lucky to be in a position where I can pursue my music career, I can’t believe I’m already on my third single!” With nearly a quarter of a million plays on her last single ‘Paradise’ on youtube and radio stations such as ZM plugging her tunes its needless to say NÜ isn’t slowing down anytime soon.
