US producer, Kiefer Ian, is a prime example of how the UKG flavour has broken out of its British origin and is now being explored across the globe. Standing tall on the shoulders of greats, rather than imitating or recreating, Kiefer’s sound does well to incorporate his own musical expression whilst preserving the iconic rhythmic drive so iconic to the genre’s sound. 
 
Walk Tall cements its place within dim lit smokey clubs as well as on sun drenched rooftop terraces. Hypnotising listeners with its swirling synth work until recentering them back to the dancefloor with a driving beat, the track perfectly balances the pacey rhythm of the old school sound whilst entwining it with the floating electronic ambience of the modern day producer. 
 
Piano chords reminiscent of early house productions display the versatility of Kiefer’s productions, who is evidently able to draw influence from all corners of the underground music scene. By combining influences of UKG, house and techno, the producer's releases are able to stand strong in a number of environments, whether it's through a festival sound system or in a back garden boogie. 
 
With a plateau of release already under his belt, Walk Tall is a triumphant development in Kiefer’s sound, exciting us for what's to come next from the musical polymath.

Over the past year, the young producer and DJ has demonstrated his talent for channelling bassy UK flavours into his own productions which have had support from the likes of Riz La Teef, Bakey and Frazer Ray. A marvelled string of self-releases has highlighted his ability to sit amongst some of the most prominent names in the scene. 

On Sight is a solid example of how Ghoulish’s ability allows him to think outside of a standard structure and delve deep into broken rhythms and swinging percussion. Punchy basslines and whaling sirens are guaranteed to energise any raver on the dancefloor. Complex arrangements combine chaotic percussive patterns with vocal jitters and fine sample work, once again showcasing this prodigy’s talent.

After mastering the fields of jazz infused deep house, Edward White flexes his ability to produce within the realms of UK bass with an explosive four-track E.P.

I Get Cake touches all corners of the UKG scene, presenting bass heavy dancefloor wreckers, as well as soulful two-step chops where influences from White’s experience in deep house can be heard through expansive soundscapes.

The project opens up with a driving two-step rhythm with cheeky vocal jitters from all over the underground scene. Whilst paying homage to some iconic sounds of garage, the production remains fresh with carefully crafted sound design intended to keep feet shuffling from start to finish.

I Get Cake, the primary track of the E.P can be described as nothing short of bliss. An irresistibly groovy synth melody is layered upon floaty padwork and swirling soundscapes. With all aspects within this expansive sound palette merging so effortlessly, it is clear to see why the E.P is dedicated to this soon to be anthem.

The Things You Make Me Do is a perfect example of White’s ability to infuse his deep house roots with the sounds of UKG. Growling saw bass patterns and a funky two-step rhythm are kept flowing with seductive vocals and climbing plucks. Whether on a sunlit terrace or as the final track of an after hours party, The Things You Make Me Do is bound to bring a sense of euphoria to all its listeners.

The E.P finishes with a bang, as Good 2 U propels listeners with a speedy, break infused footwork weapon. Perfectly balancing a club driven sound with ambient atmospheric synth work, this versatile tack is a hidden gem for any DJ’s catalogue.

Edward White’s ability to conquer both explosive bass orientated club heaters, as well as deep and melodic euphoric rhythms, demonstrates why he is a strong addition to the UK bass scene.
