Solid Steel in association with Serato (15 th May) In Hour 2, Joe Muggs makes his second appearance on Solid Steel. Having written more about electronic music than most via The Wire, Mixmag, The Arts Desk, Fact and now at Boiler Room, he turns in a headmelt ambient mix. He had this to say;

"This is me alone in the house with a bottle of whisky, three decks, a stack of records, an echo unit, and a note to myself saying "NO BEATMATCHING". All live, one take only. The lack of tracklist isn't for secrecy's sake but because I forgot what I'd played. It was heavily inspired by hazy memories of old Alex Paterson DJ sets, and by a general sense of dissociation. A friend told me they love this mix because it helped them feel closer to someone close to them who's in a coma: definitely one of the strangest compliments I've ever had."
