These songs were written by Dave and Pete (either individually or together) and were recorded at Rookery Nook Studio in Deepcar, Sheffield (also known as Pete's Garage) - just a mile or two over the hill from dragonslayer More of Morehall's gaff in the magnificent Ewden Valley and within sight of Wharncliffe Crags, home of the Dragon's Den, and the legendary village of Wantley (now known as Wortley) in South Yorkshire.

The Wantley Dragons are Dave Roebuck (Guitars, Mandolin, Banjo and Vocals) and Pete Fearnley (Guitars, Bass, Keyboards and Vocals.  They are named after the Dragon of Wantley - subject of bawdy ballad, medieval myth and local legend, not to mention novel, opera and multiple other sightings.  The Wantley Promenade EP featured here is a taster for the duo's first full album, entitled Hearth and Heart, which was released in December 2013.  The EP features a snippet of the album's opening track, Dream in the Life, together with alternative versions of two of Hearth and Heart's other songs, plus three songs recorded during the sessions for the album that didn't quite make the cut and are unavailable elsewhere.  Suffice to say, if you like what's on offer here, then we're confident you'll absolutely love the album.
