The Haze is a metal song influenced heavily by music from the early 2000s with a focus on emotional, inwardly reflective lyrics and guitar-driven melody. The structure does not take a typical approach with many unique sections in place of usual mainstream repetition. The lyrical content focuses on the feeling of isolation and hopelessness having been heavily affected by past experiences to the point of being devoid of all emotion.
