War Elephant is a Scandinavian band consisting of members from Sweden and Norway, performing modern jazz influenced by by pop, rock in a Nordic fashion. Their music varies from a massive, energetic sound to the minimalistic and pleasant sound inspired by the Scandinavian environment.

All musicians have studied at the well recognized jazz academy, Skurup, in Sweden, where they met as a result of many similar ideas within music.

The band members individually have achieved many things on the jazz scene despite their young age. Achievments include; playing as a warm-up act for the great American saxophone player Joe Lovano, playing a gig with Norwegian trumpeter Mathias Eick, winning the Young Jazz Comets competition in Sweden resulting in gigs in South-Africa, gig at the Atina Jazz Festival, playing as a warm-up act for Bushman´s Revenge, playing two gigs in Bremen during december 2011.
