War Poets' version of the Rupert John Cornford poem Full Moon at Tierz. In 1936, as a British soldier, John died at the age of 21, fighting against Franco in the Spanish Civil War. War Poets were asked to do this by the Cornford famly as part of the resurgence in John Cornford's poetry

Full Moon at Tierz

John Cornford was a British war poet who died in 1936 at the age of 21, fighting against Franco in the Spanish Civil War. The Cornford family asked us to write music and play it for one of John's poems as they see a resurgence in his popularity as a poet. We chose Full Moon at Tierz.
