I am the only son of my beloved mother, Eleanor, who also has her bachelor of music degree in classical piano performance (University of Laramie, WY). My Dad was George Ward Fenley and his doctorate of musical arts (D.M.A.) was from USC (University of Southern California). He was professor of music appreciation and violin at CSU Sacramento from 1966 to 1993. He was professor emeritus from 1994 until the time of his death in 2002. 
My main career was directing music for churches (contemporary and traditional) as well as a full time public high school choir and guitar teacher from 2001-2007, and then a full time online music appreciation teacher for K12.com from 2007 until 2016.
