Believing (Lazarus)

In the town of Bethany
Two sisters cried out for their Lord
‘bout the sickness of their brother
The one all three adored

But Jesus waited two long days
Knowing death it had to come
Said that’s why I didn’t go there
So you’d believe I am my father’s son

Lazarus he was just sleeping
Sisters they were weeping
Jesus He was preaching
You’ll see the glory when you start
Believing

When Mary heard the Lord had come
She fell straight down to His feet
Said if you had only been here
My brother’d still be here with me

Jesus felt rivers of pain
Saw the tears run down their face
In His passion and His hurting
Asked to take him where he lay

Lazarus he was just sleeping
Sisters they were weeping
Jesus He was preaching
You’ll see the glory when you start
Believing

At the entrance the tomb
A cold stone tested all their faith
Martha said there was an odor
Because he’d been dead four days

Jesus said to move the stone and
Thanked the Father to hear him pray
Let them all believe you sent me
Lazarus come out from your grave

Lazarus he rose from sleeping
Sisters stopped their weeping
Jesus He was preaching
You’ll see the glory when you start
Believing
