February's show takes a break from techno and focuses more on deep electro tracks and some robotic acid-fused 4/4 beats. I've been looking forward to playing the Cybotron record for a while, with both sides being nothing short of epic. Two new Die Gestalten records along with two records from, new on the radar, Unwonted. Electronic Convergence Mix - February 2025

This month's mix was inspired by what I would call techno with a sound stemming from both Detroit and Chicago in the US. It's very different from the Berlin sound and is closer to jacking house that to minimal techno. I threw in a few classics at the end to extend the mix - unplanned but hopefully effective!

Zoen (@zzoenn) born and raised in Madrid, blends his lifelong love for rap with deep roots in electronic music.  What started with late nights in local clubs in the 90's soon turned into a full-blown passion leading him to start his vinyl collection in 2015, beginning with disco, funk, and American house before expanding into a variety of genres. On this occasion, he offers the recording of his set at the MLK Festival last February. From Dub to Electro, a podcast driven by passion and a deep connection to the culture. Enjoy it!

DJ and Timeline Music UK co-founder, Keith Anderson, was exposed to the timeless quality of Electro back in the day. Fascinated by the sound, he bought his first two Electro 12"s; Herbie Hancock "Rocket" and Newcleus "Jam on it". This only solidified his love for the sound, and he ended up buying all the classic Electro tracks on 12inch circa 1986 and 1987.

1988-1989 would see Keith getting into the fresh worlds of Acid House and Techno. The love was there as it was with Electro. Following the inspiration, Keith frequented the Soul 2 Soul Shop in London, eventually buying ' The Dance' by Derrick May. It was during these years that Keith set out to shift the gears into DJing.

Keith's history as a live DJ goes back to Eurobeat 2000 at Frankie D's legendary club. It was here that his talent was recognized. He would go on to play at some of the biggest clubs in London including; The End, Ultimate Base Hardware, and Analogue City to name a few. In addition, Keith has spun the wax alongside Claude Young, Derrick May, and DJ Rush.

Remaining a dedicated purveyor to the underground, he is the main guy  behind Electronic Convergence; the website hosts livesets, daily mix shows, reviews, and charts.
