Definitely my favourite track from Reduked, the one I feel most identified with, the most spontaneous, and the most emotive. Early on 2011 when I started working on the remix, I noticed that original song was somewhat repetitive which I wanted to avoid, then I took a Korg nano key controller I had atm and recorded some improvisations with the same lead preset used in Rabidd Transit, over the original MIDI. 
I quantized the result and made little changes, then imported the bassline MIDIS and pizzicato strings, and added some post-rock elements. Changing the bass and strings progressons at 3:05 as well to bring an emotive climax. I really liked what I had done, but the mastering was horrible. In beetween 2012 I took it over and remade the mix / EQ'ing and added two synthetic bass lines, plus the plucked arp at 2:52, and the break at 3:31 for the pad to bring it up. The song reminds me of my childhood were I could play Duke Nukem the entire day. I'm really fond of this remix, this is the original track from 2012 - 2013 with no modifications, I'm really glad you can finally hear it :)

"Nearly 2 decades ago I fell in love with a video game. And this remix is my musical love letter of sorts to Warren Spector and the team of people at Ion Storm whose effort, imagination and eerily prophetic vision created what is, to me, the best game of all time – Deus Ex.

This 'cyberpunk adventure' appeals to me in many ways: the FPS/RPG hybrid gameplay is addictive, the dystopian environments are immersive and compelling, and the open ended nature of the different ways to play through the game were a revolution for the time (it was one of the pioneering games to introduce the 'sandbox' game style, and still considered one of the best).

But even more than all these amazing attributes, it was the story and underlying themes of freedom, power, technology and conspiracy that really pulled me deep into its dark dystopia. Nanotech, Robotics and Artificial Intelligence factor largely into the storyline of Deus Ex, which hints at an incredible future for humanity with these elements playing critical roles. Wow – right up my alley!

For this musical tribute, I decided to recreate and remix what I consider the best and most memorable track from the Deus Ex soundtrack, the UNATCO theme. I also took the liberty to blend in a few other musical themes from the game, and I think they fit pretty well. The goal with the song and the video was to capture the mood and feel of the game in a condensed 6 minute trip through gaming nostalgia. Hopefully, I've produced something of value for those who love the game as much as I do!

If you're a gamer and haven't played the original Deus Ex, please do yourself a big favour and go find a copy now! For me at least, it's more than a game, it's an experience – one that's stuck with me for many years, and one that I revisit on a regular basis.

And if you're a Deus Ex fan like me and many others, I hope my little creation inspires you to re-install it and give it another play through! Even if just to have a chuckle at Gunther's lemon lime conspiracy theory... :)

I just heard this song on the "Vikings, History TV" Series, S4 E15 "All his Angels" (from minute to minute) and I thought to record it since it's one of the most epic moment of the entire series.
I don't know the original name of the song, if everyone knows it I will put in the credits.
I didn't use any video footage because I don't want to spoil anything so please be kind DON'T reveal what is happening here if you can.. thanks.
Few hours ago I just saw the last episode and now I recorded the song inside and post it on YouTube.. that was quite fast :)

When I first heard this theme composed by Trevor Morris for Vikings, I knew I not only wanted to do a mock-up of it, but I also wanted to create an extended orchestration of this theme, which is called "The Vikings Are Told of Ragnar's Death" and was used in Vikings Season 3 Episode 10.

The first few minutes of this track are my recreation of Trevor Morris' original cue. Then I transition into my own extended orchestration. I'll possibly do a video showing how I created this track, but for now I thought it would be fun to assemble some scenes from the Vikings to go with this music. 

To create this track, I've made extensive use of Orchestral Tools' Metropolis Ark II, supplemented with Berlin Brass, 8Dio's Adagietto Strings and Spitfire Audio's Albion V Tundra. The choirs in Ark II are absolutely gorgeous and really shine in this track. Another standout patch was the Berlin Brass trumpet vibrato, which really shines at the end of the orchestration.
