Not sure why the debut solo EP by DJ FUCKS HIMSELF is called Weisse Weste, which is a German metaphor for having a clear conscience, being very innocent. Cause Fucks for sure goes deep down and dirty with this one. Sensual pitched up vocals meet nasty drums and by wisely using just the right amount of Dub effects he gives this track a very organic vibe while keeping it sharp enough to shave the rave.

Tongue-in-cheek as usual, belleter Niklas Wandt melts up pianos, acid lines and bass heavy breaks as raw material for Die Glocke (The Bell). When the hunchback pours the lead of three decades of rave culture onto your lost souls, it’s too late for shelter. Fantastic Twins evaporates not just the bell but the whole bell tower into particles of peak time madness for the mental cases.

On the flip Bodyzeit heats up on an even more old schoolish tip with breaks that definitely win the bumper car dancefloor. Very sorry for the spilt drinks, thrown fags, popped pills, ripped shirts and funny faces trying to sing along these german vocoder phrases. Borusiade doing some serious bodywork, shifting gears down in her lowrider manner, modding this burner into a dreamish but deep wee-hour masterride.

With his virtuoso DJ set, superb production and trailblazing label work, he has shaped the druggy yet intellectual midtempo sound of the last decade like few others.

Formed in 1978, Quum is an argentine group (currently consisting of brothers and founders members Gustavo and Daniel Gatti) that offers hypnotic and rhythmical improvisations in the language of experimental electronics, with a great participation of randomness, risk and uncertainty. Their music is inspired by science fiction, Zen Buddhism, chaos theory, ecology, the UFO phenomenon and the wabi-sabi concept.

About the album:
Isolated Material is eleven meaningfully designed paths, like a spiral staircase, that whirl and excite emotions, and then abruptly change a whole range of moods.
Distorted and broken kick, classic 909 and 808 can closely intersect with vocoder voice, 4/4 break trance and house, space disco motifs, but at the same time, “The Song” crushes the aesthetics of experiment and something truly alive with absolute patterns that are born inside the machine 303.
All the material was collected and recorded at completely different times, so he talks about a huge field of all kinds of experiences, in the vastness of which you can always find your flower.

NEW HIT: Viikatory - Jamming Love

We are very pleased to share this track from the latest release on R.i.O. - def one of Berlin's most forward thinking labels. While regularly showcasing the works of their own creative community, build around label heads Menqui, Nadia D'Alo and of course Benedikt Frey, they also keep introducing new exciting talents via their platform. This time it's KXB!

A dynamic configuration of rhythms plus melodies, overlaid with musings on repetitive neverlands: R.i.O. welcomes KXB, aka Sam Gill and Wes Holland, a duo that, as they put it, “was born and baptised on the balcony at Robert Johnson in 2019, while Wes lived in London and Sam in Melbourne.” 

“Areas of Uncertainty” is their first musical outcome. It carries a rhythmic show bag, that circumnavigates streamlined track architecture. From Can-ish live drumming submitted by guest rhythmist Graeme Pogson to sequenced synth spheres, the three multilayered groove landscapes of the Australian duo punch severely arcane.
