Hernan Cattaneo returns to the label showing off the amazing talent of Jody Barr, picked as his studio partner for the first time on the upcoming 'Airglow' EP.

'El Maestro' needs little introduction. An active DJ since 1983, it was his fateful residency for Clubland at Pacha Buenos Aires that saw him take the world by storm after being noticed by Perfecto Records boss, Paul Oakenfold. Life since has become a blur of international gigs, genre-defining mixes and global acclaim, but always at the heart of it is the music he loves and wants to share with the world. This will never change. 

Jody, by comparison, is still very much in the beginnings of his career. But what a start it's been! Signed to LNOE, The Soundgarden, Armada and more, his sound is vibrant, uplifting and groovy winning him plaudits as diverse as Black Coffee, Alan Fitzpatrick and Joris Voorn. 

First up, title track 'Airglow' wastes no time in finding its feet. Subtle acid bubbles alongside the snappy percussive framework of the opening section, and airy sweeps billow into the soundscape ramping up the energy for the main drop, where ornate synths remind us of trancey memories and sweaty hugs in a field during high summer. 

'Clara's Dream' opens with deep tribal vibes. Low slung and mellow, the e-moments are super emotive. Finally, 'First Wave' ups the tempo with more subtle tribal feels. Arps and a wobbly reese bass aim this one squarely at those moments Hernan is famous for when all bets are off and there's no way you're ever leaving this dance floor! Even after 40 years at the top of his game, Hernan continues to find a way to surprise and delight us all.

Madlochs Sound Avenue welcomes Secretly Famous back to the label for their first artist album "Inspired" including 12 tracks. Hailing from Australia, the Secretly Famous production duo first emerged in 2021 on the strength of early offerings such as Chimera and On Fire. Noted for their ability to marry traditional and contemporary progressive sounds, the Secretly Famous duo was quickly tipped as a production team to watch going forward. The next three calendar years would see the Aussie duo continue to refine their sound, resulting in an aesthetic that was both groovy and melodic. Secretly Famous would begin their creative partnership with Sound Avenue in 2022, in the form of a well-received debut via label affiliate Future Avenue, a two-track EP which would go on to yield twenty-five additional appearances across the Belgian label collective. Perhaps none more impactful was the duos Sound Avenue debut, a progressive take on One Word by Estonian duo about : river, a project which landed with a resounding thump just over a year ago.

Rounding out the month of February, Tashs Movement Recordings welcomes Rudra back to the label for his debut EP. As one of Indias longest running progressive house artists, Rudra has been a fixture of the genres scene for well over a decade. First emerging in 2012, the Kolkata resident has steadily been making a name for himself with a string of well-crafted records that present a cutting edge sound. 3rd Avenue, aboriginal, Juicebox Music and Mango Alley have all been landing spots for Rudras elusive sound, while he continues to earn support from progressive musics top tastemakers. Already a contributor to the Movement label collective, Rudra has appeared on the imprints Limited and primary divisions, the most recent of which was a remix of TEELCOs Groove Odyssey. Now, returning to the label for his first EP, Rudra unveils his All at Once artist showcase. The dark crunchy vibes of the title track sets the pace for Rudras All at Once collection. Punchy kick drums and precise percussive arrangements lay the foundation for striking stabs and sweeping effects to paint a captivating storyboard, while placid pads and blurred reverberations deliver a hazy soundscape across a timeless style break. Selection two Direction lands with equal dancefloor vigor, as Rudra flexes his groove crafting prowess across the seven-minute piece. Mystical arps and calming overlays highlight an emotive top line, continually evolving as reprocessed pianos deliver a genuine emotion across a goosebump worthy break, before getting washed away into a charged finale that is both energetic and confident. The third and final selection Spontaneous arrives in psychedelic fashion with elastic-like effects and dubbed out tones creating a prophetic mood early on. Carrying this mesmerizing hypnotism forward, Rudras masterstroke is to melt the proceedings down into a cavernous break, one where panning effects and acid motifs eventually give way to a finale of stomped out beats.
