In this episode, Sean and Drew are joined by Chief Joe Pisano, aptly known as “Chief Picasso”, or “Chief that did the artwork.” Joe operates in a myriad of artistic mediums. One of which is intended to attract the hurting brothers and sisters who suffer the comorbidities of TBI. His work brings them to the door of Resurrecting Lives Foundation.

While the relationship between RLF and Chief Pisano is relatively in an infant stage, his work to include service members and civilians alike has been a constant theme in his career. His interactive process allows all interested parties to drill in the screws to make up the elaborate 3D artworks come to life. 

Joe’s work can be found in Resurrecting Live’s art studio, at Liberty Station, a residential area of San Diego, California.  Joe, who was born in the Philippines, and raised under the flag of the Navy walked in the footsteps of his father by joining the Navy in 1999. He vowed to use the lessons learned in the Military to focus his discipline on martial arts, and mind-blowing works of art. 

Chief Pisano has always stood out from his peers in the art room and honing his skills has created a fulfilled life of standing out and standing up. His art piece “Operation Zero” is a call to action to stand up against soldier suicide, while his piece “Invisibilia” stands as a self-portrait of strength and perseverance that other veterans/service members can look at for inspiration to reach down and take control of their greatness, and like joe, share it with the world.
