Wassado is a high energy five piece African band led by the esteemed Malian guitarist, Moussa Diakite. The music is steeped in Moussa’s African roots with a contemporary funky jazz edge that’s irresistible on the dance floor. 
Moussa was part of Mali's generation of pioneering musicians in the 1970s and ‘80s. He joined the ‘Super Rail Band de Bamako’ as it's lead guitarist in 1979. He also played with the legendary Toumani Diabate in his ‘Yanga Orchestre’, and eventually joined world music star Salif Keita from 1987-1992. Since moving to Sydney in 1992, Moussa has inspired the Australian African music scene.
