Born in the dark streets of Cairo, grown to the unforgettable forests of Santa Esmeralda, spending its teen years in Bombay and Tangier markets, mature into the deep spacey Jungle of Ghana we proudly present you a new label from the land of the pyramids: SHANGO RECORDS invites you to an unheard world music psychedelic trip: like through a colorful kaleidoscope we will melt down Indian and Pakistani Vibes, Arab-Tek and Oriental groovy vibes, Afro-Beat rhythms n' pieces, Cumbia Tropicana flavors and cosmic Ghetto-Latin vibes into forbidden sounds of frenzied electronic dancefloor rituals. Outside traditional paths these driving grooves and polyphonic structures take the adventure seeking dancer to Dionysian highs and places never been before.

The beyond. Always the beyond. It must have all started with the navel. They cut the umbilical cord, give you a slap on the ass, and presto! You're out in the world, adrift, a ship without a rudder. You look at the stars and then you look at your navel. You grow eyes everywhere – in the armpits, between the lips, in the roots of your hair, on the soles of your feet. What is distant becomes near, what is near becomes distant. Inner-outer, a constant flux, a shedding of skins, a turning inside out. You drift around like that for years and years, until you find yourself in the dead center, and there you slowly rot, slowly crumble to pieces, get dispersed again. Only your name remains. Jaalex is a man with name and fortune. This is his first offering for Shango Records. These three tracks invite you to a journey in the deep desert of Amassakoul. Adari, Boubouteq, Oktave and Solidmind are the guide lights for a safe journey over the sand dunes.

This is the first, and probably not the last, of the Fairy Of The Lake of many colours. First there
was the Blue Fairy, then, people, you asked for more, and we made up the Red Fairy, and, when
you wanted more still, the White Fairy was put together. The tracks in the compilation are
borrowed from many countries, some are British, some German, some Greek, some Spanish,
some French, some Brasilian, one Italian. However much these nations differ about trifles, they all
agree in liking fairy tales. The reason, no doubt, is that men were much like children in their
minds long ago, long, long ago, and so before they took to writing newspapers, and sermons, and
novels, and long poems, they told each other stories, such as you read in the fairy books. They
believed that witches could turn people into beasts, that beasts could speak, that magic rings could
make their owners invisible, and all the other wonders in the stories. Then, as the world became
grown-up, the fairy tales which were not written down would have been quite forgotten but that
the old grannies remembered them, and told them to the little grandchildren: and when they, in
their turn, became grannies, they remembered them, and told them also. So the new
SHANGO
RECORDS
compilation is entitled
“Fairy Of The Lake”
and includes eighteen amazing tracks
for your personal book of tales. Songs about love, hate, broken dreams, suffocation and holding
hands.
For the dreamers, the shakers, the moochers and the makers; we are all born of civilised

Moroccan Spirit is a down tempo new age/ethnic fusion musical project/album by German musicians Ralf Hamm, Markus Staab and Claus "The Brave" Zundel, Ibiza-based producers of Sacred Spirit, B-Tribe and other projects. Their music is often characterized as different from other projects by The Brave. They combine traditional Moroccan music with moderate club beats and synthesizer enhancement. Only one album was released under the project name in 2002. The album is sometimes counted as one of Sacred Spirit's (including some official sources). The Brave recorded authentic Moroccan singers and instruments for this album to which they then added their trademark ambiance and mood. The vocals are generally solo-voice, some male and some female. The track "Midunya" is a reworking of Medunya from the One Little Creature album, now with a more Arabic feel.
