"Wasted Ruffians are back with an excellent remix of "Receiver" by The/Das. The original track was released with The/Das' stunning debut album 'Freezer' on Sinnbus Records. On their first full-length release the Berlin duo, made up of Fabian Fenk and Anton Feist, have adopted an exciting course. In a technoid frame they create - along with regulars Thomalla (Krakatau), Jörg Wähner (Apparat) and Gunnar Spies (Mia.) - a distinctly organic, in-depth soundscape. Wasted Ruffians often crossed The/Das' path in Berlin club and party scene. They picked up the deeply sad 'Receiver', which contains the breathy female vocal of guest singer Pirjo Marx added to Fenk's distinctive vocal and the tracks haunting feel. 
Accelerating the tempo, revisiting the track with a solid bassline and a restructured composition, it results in a fetching smooth Deep House track!"

Wasted Ruffians are back with a lighthearted remix of "Cut" by Children for the bands new remix album ‘Dancing at home’. The original track was released with Children’s debut album 'Leaving Home' on Fleet Union last September. On their first full-length release the Berlin trio mixed up smooth electronic beats with clear guitar- & basslines and created a chilled and smart pop music. After being support act for Kiesza, Stars or Kafka Tamura and playing shows at Berlin Festival, Way Back When or C/O pop, Children are releasing their remix album this summer. Beside the mentioned remix of ‘Cut’, you will find other remixes by The Micronaut, Daniel Archut, ABBY, Gunnar Zander, tchotchke, Fluxus Head, NÖRD, La Petite Rouge and two remixes by Children themselves.
Wasted Ruffians often crossed the Children members path in Berlin club and party scene. For the remix album they picked up with ‘Cut’ an ode to the easy-going summer days. Accelerating the tempo, revisiting the track with a solid bassline and a restructured composition, it results in a fetching smooth Deep House track!

The Appletree Garden Festival asked us to do an indie/retro/classics tape. A Tape which is remembering you all of your most beautiful festival experiences, a tape were you hang around with your friends and get drunk on the campsite and shout out every line of the song, a tape as it would still be 2007…

Das Appletree Garden Festival hat uns gebeten ein Indie Retro/Classics Tape zu basteln. Ein Tape, welches einem an die schönsten Festivalerlebnisse erinnert, ein Tape bei dem man sich betrunken auf dem Zeltplatz in den Armen liegt und jeden Song mitschreit, ein Tape als wäre es immernoch 2007...

When you see the two Berliners behind the decks you can really feel their full commitment and their passion for music, alongside partying to it! 
Their sets are characterized by a deep and groovy house sound with lots of rousing varieties based on their musical roots like Indie, Hip Hop and Soul.
