~ WANDERER ~

The chilling days of Winter came
And through the window viewed
Foggy edges, centre wiped
The wanderer's eyes peeped through

Gazing into distance
Away in time and space
The wanderer lost, so alone
Could not find the way

The perfect picture, happiness
Wishes held inside
Stayed within, cherished
The dreams of hopes, desires

Seemed to be the blankness, still
The Wanderer's statue clue
Etched upon the frozen face
Alone in silence, mute

And all of life's promises 
From mind's insistent peep 
Indicated, perfectly
Sublimity, serene

Peaceful, silent heavenly
The Artist's pastel strokes
Brought the view, promising
But took away revoked

And through the optic tear filled eyes
Blurry unclear, knew
The Wanderer's painted canvas showed
That lonely darkness grew

Transparent, ghostly, loving arms
No heart to hold her too
Alone dismayed in frozen gaze
Without...loves infuse
