"Wu-Tang's Maneater" is the first track off of Ballin' Oates, my third EP focusing on remixes of classic artists. To create this track, I completely replayed and remixed "Maneater" by Hall & Oates, producing a new beat and flipping the instrumental. I then added the vocals from Wu-Tang's "C.R.E.A.M." The entire 5 track EP will be out later this week!

Ballin' Oates is the third EP in a series of compilations produced by The Melker Project, each focusing on a different classic artist. Each Hall & Oates song was completely replayed and remixed by Melker, before blending them with different acapellas.

The Melker Project - What You Know? You're Out Of Touch! Ft. Hall & Oates & T.I.

This one makes sense on so many levels.  First, I mixed the stems from the Fleetwood Mac classic "Rhiannon" with Rihanna's song "Cockiness." This was a serious undertaking, considering I had to remove all of the drums from Rhiannon and replay/resynch the remaining parts of the song to the Rihanna Instrumental.  

Since I have been calling myself Skeevie Tricks for quite a while (since Skeetwood Mac was born), I figured I had to mix Stevie Nicks and Tricky Daddy.  And it all came together in this track.

Most remixers and mashup artists focus solely on what is “hot” now – you know, pop songs and EDM “hits.” The Melker Project wanted to buck the trend and introduce mashup fans to some of the timeless classics that often go untouched in remix culture. You know, GOOD songs.

“Skeetwood Mac” is the first in a series of EPs being released by The Melker Project, each focusing on a different classic artist. As the name implies, this EP is comprised of five Fleetwood Mac songs, each mashed up with Hip Hop and R&B standards.

The Melker Project - Rhiannon & Rihanna ft. Skeevie Tricks (Stevie Nicks & Trick Daddy)

"Dreams" is one of my favorite songs of all time. It is perfect. I almost felt bad doing a mashup... almost.

For this one I chose the Ciara song "Ride," as her vocals seem to complement the Fleetwood Mac classic perfectly.  And Luda sets it off as always...
