WATCHA CLAN is an "amour fou" that takes you on a a trip from the London dance floors to the Mediterranean fiesta, from the Balkan mountains to the Maghreb seaside, from roots to rebellion. North and South, Arabic and Hebrew are re-united on this album, the sound of DIASPORA HI-FI. Altruistic dealers in cultures and humanities, Watcha Clan load up their caravan
with rhythms and melodies of their ancestral memories assimilated with the sounds they hear from the people they meet on their nomadic journey around the Mediterranean. From the Eastern European melodies that singer Sista K's mother sang to her when she was little to the Algerian chaabi blues to the fresh grooves blown in on the desert winds from Oran and Morocco, the Diaspora Hi-Fi is blasting out a message of unity and freedom, respect and pride. Turn it up!

The DIASPORA HI-FI project is a co-production of Vaï la Bott und Piranha, recorded in Oran/Algeria, Agadir & Casablanca/Morocco. The CD includes a bonus video with a live clip of the title "Eli".

Rated by the dutch MIXED Magazine as one of the top ten best european releases in 2008!

Global Fusion hits the electric dance floor: Watcha Clan introduces us to the dance floor
with "Ziggurat FM"!

In search of a band that combines rough drumstep-rhythms with atmospheric catchy tones from all around the world you will sooner or later encounter Watcha Clan. 
After their well received and highly complimented studio record "radio
Babel" (Piranha 2011), the band's drive can't be restrained: In cooperation with Berlin- based music label and publishing Piranha, there will be released 3 digital remix eps inspired and developed with their fans and befriended Djs around the globe. 
Two of the 3 remix ep series have already been released: "We Are One Remixes
EP" (Piranha Musik autumn 2012) and "Hasnaduro- Im Nin'Alu" (Piranha Musik spring
2013). 
Both compilations include original songs from the band and demonstrate the enormous variety of the Global Bass scene. For ten years now, the band that originally comes from Marseille in France, excites their audience with fresh sounds
and memorable beats and hooks. 
With "Ziggurat FM", the band takes a step further.

This new Remix Ep contains 7 exclusive tracks from which each one stands for itself. From light Argentine tunes like "Tangos Del Cachito" to an almost hardcore dubstep anthem "Fever Is Rising"-"Ziggurat FM" surprises with honest musical sense
that puts the music itself into prominence. 
All above mentioned peaks eventually to the melancholic piece "Il Était Une Fois Dans L'est" remixed by Transglobal Underground. This electronic world music combo succeeded again in developing their own sound. A lot more musical
sense with a kind of emotional breeze to it.

But for those that expect this global fusion group around lead vocalist Sister K to be a party band only, are mistaken. They're one of the few that manage successfully to create music that invites us to dance on one hand but also to inspire us
with deep lyrics about topics the band genuinely cares about. All of that without falling into theworld-changer trap.
Even more, the band stands for the fruitful exchange of cultures and nations, and this can be seen in their whole artistic process.
Be it creating the music itself or performance, this band celebrates the crossing of borders in any part of the world- from Germany to Israel,
from Turkey to Argentina.
