Jurek is the leader of The End of New. He started making music when he was 15, playing various types of music with different bands in Poland. In 1996 he started to DJ and in 1998 he was a runner up in the Master Cup Poland. In 2000 he packed his bag full of records and moved to Amsterdam, where he started playing at underground gigs. He then played at a number of festivals and became resident DJ at several clubs also. It was around this time he set up the band "Ende Neu". In 2007 he relocated to Dublin, Ireland where he formed The End of New in 2008.

The Universe Inspectors are a reggae/funk band based in Croyde on the coast of North Devon.

The boys in the band are Melvin Eveleigh on vocals and guitar, Nick Austin on Sax, Mark Freeman on drums and Ralph Freeman on bass. The Inspectors are legends locally for their surfing as well as for their music. Ralph even has a reef named after him!

Mid Devon's Modwardian Troubadours, The Fabulous Thorvertones, are veterans of innumerable bands. They first got together in 2007 in the picturesque Devon village of Thorverton (hence their name!). 

They’re not in it for the money. They’re not in it to prove a point. They’re definitely not in it to play 10 minute blues solos at you. They’re in it to make the world a better place to be a part of, to show you a damn good time, and to make sure they have a helluva lot of fun doing it.

Unfortunately, however, it seems they don't find all aspects of the traditional British Christmas as much fun as playing a gig!

De Larje are a guitar duo based in the wilds of West Somerset. In this track Dave is on acoustic guitar and Trunks is on electric guitar. Sometimes the positions are reversed. Other times they are both electrified, and assisted by drums and bass!

Clean Song (Clip)

Zamba plays a mix of reggae, carnival and ska style music, taking influence from artists such as Bob Marley, Sublime, Hendrix and The Specials.They are based in North Devon.

Della is on vocals, James on guitar, Kev on bass and Edge on drums.

Mark Abdey is "Foales Arishes". He plays all the instruments himself. He also takes all the photographs. "The Long Road" is one of them.

The Hanging Cloud (Clip)

Bonnie & Clyde are two field fighting mavericks currently protecting the grounds of Dartington College of Arts with their dirty beats and biro stained fingertips. By day they go by their 'pedestrian' names Jack Harris and Alice Lilley, but at nightfall, even the darkness can't disguise their true passion and desire to find the ultimate relationship between music and metaphor.

Jack Harris is a contemporary artist mostly working with sound and technology. Alice Lilley is a performance poet, desperately searching for work!

Patch Bawn is a 21 year old singer songwriter who plays a unique style of music, like Ben Howard crossed with Snow Patrol!

Patch started off playing gigs around Exeter as a teenager. He made it through to the Area finals (semi finals) of the national music competition "Live and Unsigned" in 2010. Since then he's been to University in Reading, and now the World is his oyster.

Hurricane (Clip)

ICYFH are a three piece band who met whilst students at the University of Bristol. They describe their track as "ambient post rock".

The guys wish to remain incognito, for the moment at least. The image accompanying their track is an extract from the painting "For Haiti With Love", painted by Kasia B. Turajczyk shortly after the devastating earthquake in Haiti on January 12th 2010.

Bruce Willis (Clip)

Zhenia is from the Ukraine and Paul is from the UK. They formed Dark Patrick in 2008 prior to which they were involved in various musical projects with other musicians.

Powerful synth rhythms combine with the dark and gloomy sound of the hurdy-gurdy, the sweet crystal clear tone of the bandura and unusual vocals (in Ukrainian, Russian and English) that are sometimes sung, sometimes spoken, and other times chanted.

Honest, inspired and experimental to the core, Dark Patrick’s songs explore themes of anti-fascism, feminism, anarchism, social injustice, exploitation, harsh realities & mental phenomena.

Yuchi Cordoba was born in Curaçao from Antillian/Colombian parents.  He played soccer there at the highest level, and has studied drumming as far afield as Cuba and Senegal. Apart from playing music, he has taught percussion in Curaçao as well as in the Netherlands, where he lived for a number of years.

Yuchi's first musical influences came from British prog rock bands including Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Yes and Emerson Lake and Palmer. Since those early days Yuchi has formed and played in numerous bands in a variety of styles in several countries, and is now a leading exponent of Afro-Curaçaoan music, particularly "musik di zumbi".

Yuchi credits his success as a percussionist to his deep respect for mother earth, harmony, team work, his youthful curiosity and love for children, and an openness to other people and their cultures.
