Lost and Found (ODESZA Remix) - The Hidden Shades

Rumpistol is the debut album from the Danish electronica artist Rumpistol (danish for spacegun), aka Jens Berents Christiansen.

It was originally released in March 2003 in a limited edition which received great reviews in the Danish press as well as within the music audience. Due to this positive response, Rump Recordings re-released the album, in a slightly modified version, with a new cover, one new track, and a remix by Danish artist Pondul (aka Anders from Melk).

Your journey begins as a psychedelic initiation with Alan Watts as your spirit guide. Next your spirit travels to the jungles of Africa where you meet Nommo, a river god. He takes you underwater and downriver towards the mother Oshun. Her currents pull you down past increasingly larger spirits to the depths of the abyss. In the darkness you are separated and tossed about by a storm. You are washed up on an island where you meet Nemoid, a traveling spirit who takes you sailing and then shows you the stars. With a grand gesture, he opens a twinkling gateway. You're lifted into the heavens and propelled past stars and galaxies. Finally you see a glowing object which you drift towards and you see in it, the light of all existence. You then fall backwards through the experience and slowly come to in a dreamy fog. A David Lynch film is playing on the television and Alan Watts is making you a cup of tea. You are left puzzled by the experience.

France-native Lil Fish unveils his newest musical masterpiece and first project with Gravitas Recordings, Organic. Alongside the title, the term “organic” is manifested in two unique ways within this personal and introspective project. First, it depicts the organic side of acoustic instruments. It illustrates the warmth and richness of ethnic instruments and the emotions that visual images may elicit. The tracks featured are mixed with deep, energetic electronic rhythm and atmosphere to travel along a musical journey. Second, it is organic by being rooted to nature, in connection with the essence of life. Organic contrasts with the technological world, which tends to distance people from the essence of life over time. This EP evokes the desire to become aware and to stay grounded through mind traveling music. Fabien presents these ideas in a dynamic of hope through six colorful pieces inside a musical melting pot. 


“Apologize” draws listeners into a mind traveling escapade within euphoric worldly bass comprised of ethereal soundscapes. “Theory” blends hard hitting bass with melodic, ethnic music that induces inner reflection. This is the first time I am releasing an album as a physical product at the same time as a digital version. The second disc of the double CD set contains 13 additional tracks straight off the vinyl acetates that I composed and created in order to make legit sounding samples for A Color Map of The Sun.

Like always, the album is available in its entirety as a free download via prettylightsmusic.com. For the first time however, I encourage you to purchase a copy of the album. There are two honest reasons for this. The main reason is that as an artist I have always reinvested any success I have directly back into the music, the show and the art that goes along with it. Secondly, this isn't just an album; it is a massive collection of music beyond what is on the CDs that I will continue to put out after the album release. There is an insightful documentary film on the making of this project to be released alongside the launch of the album, as well as a music video for every song. They are all beautiful and uniquely unusual pieces of art.

This "album" is a multi-medium map of my mind and my self. It is personal and honest and I put everything into it. I have stayed on the path of being a completely independent musician and with the help of every supporter and friend, we have transformed a simple idea into a movement, a cultural beacon of light. If you can, I encourage you to purchase a digital or physical copy of A Color Map of the Sun. If not simply support by sharing the music and sharing the idea.
