@ Stassy music: is there a release date for this one?

New DSS mix from the german artist Sascha Dive. Head of the legendary Deep Vibes Recordings label. 

Sascha Dive is one of the artists who has influenced us the most for many years, since 2007 approximately with his works on his label Deep Vibes and others like Raum...musik, Oslo, Tsuba, La Peña. These have been works that until today are still significantly relevant and recognized in any dancefloor.

We consider Sascha Dive a key piece of House in the last decades, and one of the "Mannheim" sound (deep, dub, and minimalist) of the end of the first decade of the 2000s.

1. How and where was the mix recorded?
The mix was recorded in my arpartment near to Frankfurt am Main, using only vinyls, two Technics turntables and an Allen & Heath mixer.

2. Can you tell us about the idea behind the mix?
I used records from this mix last year at Weetamix in Geneva, where I played an intensive set with a duration of over five hours! It was an exceptionally good night, the club was full and you could feel the enegry of this magic place. The club itself has an interesting history and I regard it as one of the best culbs to play at. 
That basically is the reason why the mix is so long as I wanted to try and incorporate the vibes from that night into the mix. It also serves to give the fans a somewhat longer example of what I play at my gigs.


3. What are you up to next? Projects, ideas…
My latest EP called "Digital Voodoo" has just been released on 8bit. Later this month I will be releasing a remix for Daldson on Envelope Mountain. Sometime further into the year I plan to release a new EP "Beautiful People" which will be on my home label, "Bondage Music".


4. Lastly, for you what is Dance, Shake, Swing!?
With this being a new platform, which enables Artists to prepresent their music either live in Barcelona or as a podcast, I am really pleased to be a part of it and I would like to thank you for giving me the opportunity to present this podcast.

Dive  Deeper!
Hailing  from  the  greater  Frankfurt  Area  Sascha  Dive  has  made  quite  an  impression  on  the  international  house  and  techno  circus  over  the  last  ten  years.  
Although  the  deephouse  traveller  looks  back  on  an  amazing  amount  of  pristine  releases,  with  the  first  official  vinyl  pressed  back  in  2007,  one  can  still  call  him  a  young  gun.  
If  you  look  around  in  the  deeper  fields  of  house  music  these  days  this  gifted  producer  and  DJ  seems  to  be  an  exception.  
This isn't  a  disadvantage  at  all  because with  all  the  energy  in  his  mind  and  hands  Sascha  Dive  proves  with  every  gig  and  production  that  he  plays  on  the  same  level  as  many  of  his  legends, if  not  even  higher!
Strongly  influenced  by  the  godfathers  of  deephouse  like  Moodyman,  Chez  Damier  or  Ron  Trent  and  following  the  first  waves  of  top  notch  German  house  labels,  such  as  Playhouse,  Sascha  Dive  has  progressed  to  a  serious  floor  fighter  since  his  first  official  appearance  in  2007.  
With  a  musical  taste  reaching  from  his  deephouse  backround  and  soulful  minimal  sounds  to  kicking  and  mind  blowing  techno  he  has  played  almost  every  leading  club  and  festival  over  the  pastten  years.  
Sascha  Dive  is  not  only  taking  his  sound  and  vision  to  the  world's  finest  floors,  he  still  manages  to  release  more  and  more  music.  
Dive  has  released  a  vast  number  of  productions  and  remixes  on  high  class  labels  such  as  Tsuba,  Freebase,  Deep  Labs  (Balance  US),  Raum...Musik  or  Stir15  and aside  from  all  the  touring  and  producing  he  still  runs  his  own  "Deep  Vibes"  label  with  great  success.  
"Deep  Vibes"  has produced  some  outstanding  music  by  Sascha  Dive  and  his  buddies  and  „house-mates“  such  as  Brothers  Vibe,  Robert  Dietz,  Christian  Burkhardt  or  Markus  Fix  (just  to  name  a  few)  and  most  of  it  on  vinyl!  
So  it's  no  wonder  that  vinyl  master  Sven  Väth  signed  Sascha  to  Cocoon  Artists  and  Cocoon  Recordings.  
Sascha  Dive,  a  forward  thinking  producer  and  DJ  who  still  waves  the  flag  of  the  real  vinyl  sound  and  always  will.  
With  more  young  men  like  him  house  music  will  live  on  forever!
